[OBJECT] To provide a novel pesticide. [MEANS OF ACCOMPLISHING THE OBJECT] The present invention provides a herbicidal composition which comprises as active ingredients (a) a herbicidal benzoylpyrazole compound represented by the formula (I) or its salt:  wherein Ris alkyl or cycloalkyl, Ris a hydrogen atom or alkyl, Ris alkyl, Ris alkyl, haloalkyl or the like, Ris a hydrogen atom, alkyl or the like, Ris haloalkyl, halogen or the like, and A is alkylene substituted by alkyl, and (b) other herbicidal compound.

Herbicidal compositions containing benzoylpyrazole compounds

Many herbicidal compositions have been developed and used, but there are many types of weeds to be controlled, and their development lasts for a long period of time. Accordingly, it has been desired to develop a herbicidal composition having a wider herbicidal spectrum and having a highly active and long-lasting herbicidal activity. The present invention provides a herbicidal composition which comprises as active ingredients (a) a herbicidal benzoylpyrazole compound represented by the formula (I) or its salt: wherein Ris alkyl or cycloalkyl, Ris a hydrogen atom or alkyl, Ris alkyl, Ris alkyl, haloalkyl or the like, Ris a hydrogen atom, alkyl or the like, Ris haloalkyl, halogen or the like, and A is alkylene substituted by alkyl, and (b) other herbicidal compound. 

Provided is an herbicidal composition which can be applied at a low dose as compared with individual application, and thus is effective to reduce the environmental load on a place where the composition is applied or a periphery thereof, of which the herbicidal spectrum is enlarged, and of which the herbicidal effects last over a long period of time. The herbicidal composition has as active ingredients (a) a herbicidal benzoylpyrazole compound represented by the formula (I) or its salt: wherein Q is &#x2014;C(O)SRor a hydrogen atom, Ris alkyl or cycloalkyl, Ris a hydrogen atom or alkyl, Ris alkyl, cycloalkyl or the like, Ris alkyl, haloalkyl or the like, Ris a hydrogen atom, alkyl or the like, Ris haloalkyl, halogen or the like, and (b) a further herbicidal compound.

The present invention provides a novel herbicide showing excellent herbicidal effects, which has a wide application range including agricultural fields and non-agricultural fields and various application methods including soil treatment and foliage treatment. A pyrazole compound represented by the formula (I) or its salt: wherein Ris alkyl, Ris a hydrogen atom or alkyl, Ris alkyl, Ris alkyl, Ris alkyl substituted by one alkoxy, alkoxy substituted by one alkoxy, or alkoxycarbonyl, Ris alkylsulfonyl, A is alkylene substituted by at least one alkyl; a process for its production; a herbicide containing it as an active ingredient; and a method for controlling undesired plants or inhibiting their growth, which comprises applying a herbicidally effective amount thereof to the undesired plants or to a place where they grow.

To provide a herbicidal composition and a method for its application, whereby the effect of a herbicidally active ingredient is improved to reduce the environmental load on a site where the herbicide is applied or the periphery thereof, more than ever, and its dose can be reduced. A herbicidal composition comprising (1) a compound represented by the formula (I) or its salt: where T and Z are as defined in the specification, and (2) a polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether phosphate or its salt. A method for controlling undesired plants or inhibiting their growth, by applying the herbicidal composition.
