The reel seat for mounting a dual-bearing reel on an upper side of a rod main body of a fishing rod extends in a front-rear direction in a plan view of the reel seat. The reel seat includes a reel foot mounting part on the upper side for mounting a reel foot of the dual-bearing reel such that a handle of the dual-bearing reel is located on a first side in a right-left direction in the plan view. The reel seat also includes a support wall for supporting a palm of a hand when palming the reel seat such that the support wall provided on a second side opposite to the first side in the right-left direction, the support wall protruding to the upper side on the second side of the reel seat.

Reel seat and fishing rod

A fishing rod includes a grip tubeon a rear side of a reel seathaving a cylindrical shape, and the grip tubeis hard. The grip tubeincludes a first grip portionhaving a large diameter and forming at a front part of the grip tube, a second grip portionhaving a large diameter and forming at a rear part of the grip tube, and a small-diameter portionforming at between the first grip portionand the second grip portion. A corner portionis formed at between the first grip portionand the small-diameter portion. Fishing rod

A fishing rod includes a rod body. The rod body includes a plurality of strips, each of the plurality of strips includes a tip strip portion having a first narrowing section which gradually narrows in width towards the rod end side and an end strip portion having a second narrowing section which gradually narrows in width towards the rod tip side. At least a part of the first narrowing section and at least a part of the second narrowing section overlap with each other to form an overlapping portion.

A main body layeris configured by a layerformed, in a cylindrical shape, from a main partand a complementary part. The main partis formed by a main prepreg. In a small-diameter part, the main prepregis wound over the entire circumference in a circumferential direction with both ends of the main prepregin a widthwise direction overlapping each other, and in a large-diameter part, the main prepregis wound so that a part of the entire circumference in the circumferential direction remains behind as a winding-shortage part, with both ends of the main prepregin the widthwise direction separated from each other in the circumferential direction. The complementary partis formed to complement the winding-shortage part by a sub-prepreghaving a predetermined shape corresponding to the winding-shortage part.
