A method and system for creating hypercomplex representations of data includes, in one exemplary embodiment, at least one set of training data with associated labels or desired response values, transforming the data and labels into hypercomplex values, methods for defining hypercomplex graphs of functions, training algorithms to minimize the cost of an error function over the parameters in the graph, and methods for reading hierarchical data representations from the resulting graph. Another exemplary embodiment learns hierarchical representations from unlabeled data. The method and system, in another exemplary embodiment, may be employed for biometric identity verification by combining multimodal data collected using many sensors, including, data, for example, such as anatomical characteristics, behavioral characteristics, demographic indicators, artificial characteristics. In other exemplary embodiments, the system and method may learn hypercomplex function approximations in one environment and transfer the learning to other target environments. Other exemplary applications of the hypercomplex deep learning framework include: image segmentation; image quality evaluation; image steganalysis; face recognition; event embedding in natural language processing; machine translation between languages; object recognition; medical applications such as breast cancer mass classification; multispectral imaging; audio processing; color image filtering; and clothing identification.

Hypercomplex deep learning methods, architectures, and apparatus for multimodal small, medium, and large-scale data representation, analysis, and applications

The present disclosure includes systems and methods for color transfer. The method includes receiving a target image, and determining dominant source colors. The method further includes transforming the target image into a color model including a target luminance component and a target color information component. Additionally, the method includes segmenting the target image into a plurality of target segments based on the target color information component or the target luminance component and extracting dominant target colors from the target image by extracting information for at least one of the dominant target colors from each target segment of the plurality of target segments. Further, the method includes generating a color mapping relationship between the dominant target colors and the dominant source colors, and creating a recolored target image using the color mapping relationship.

Methods and systems for human imperceptible computerized color transfer

The present disclosure includes systems and methods for multimedia image analytic including automated binarization, segmentation, and enhancement using bio-inspired based visual morphology schemes. The present disclosure further includes systems and methods for biometric multimedia content authentication using extracted geometric features and one or more of the binarization, segmentation, and enhancement methods.

System and method for multimedia analytic processing and display

Disclosed are systems and methods to encrypt an image for secure image transmission and parallel decryption using resources from a networked environment. Upon reception of encrypted data from the mobile user, the data can be decrypted by transforming the data, decrypting the transformed data, and inversing the transformation. The decrypted data can be sent for storage in a cloud storage.

Systems and methods for secure file transmission and cloud storage

Embodiments of reversible systems and methods for fast, secure and efficient transmission, storage, and protection of digital multimedia are disclosed. The embodiments may have the ability to simultaneously compress and encrypt digital data in order to concurrently reduce data size and prevent reconstruction without the proper encryption key. Embodiments of a method may include pre-processing data to optimize the size of data segments to be compressed, transforming the data for improving the compressibility of the before-mentioned data segments, processing the data sequentially to generate predictive statistical models, encoding the data for simultaneously encrypting and compressing data segments using a keystream, and increasing both the compression ratio and security of these encoding processes using a block cipher. Embodiments of these methods may be suitable for use on both encrypted and unencrypted media.

Disclosed are various embodiments of a system or method for the transparent handling of real-time streaming application-level data. The disclosed embodiments permit the identification and modification of specified file patterns from within the live stateful data transactions across computer networks. The system includes a unidirectional in-line communications data stream handler, stream pattern detector, stream file modification processor, and memory management subsystem. Embodiments of the disclosure may include devices permitting incoming network data streams to be captured, processed, and selectively modified when implemented on a digital streaming network communications line. One embodiment of the system includes techniques for mitigation of malicious software directed against software based network connected systems. Other embodiments may make use of approaches for digital data hiding and covert channel obfuscation operations on digital multimedia files being transferred through the system. In a non-limiting example, session-unique digital tags may be embedded within real-time data flows of multimedia files, the product of which may be used to enforce privacy policies, intellectual property management, copyright protection, as well as digital content delivery management.

System and device for preventing attacks in real-time networked environments

The present disclosure relates to a cascade thresholding system to find an optimal threshold for binarization of a gray scale image. The cascade system can perform different levels of quantization on an input image. The cascade system can process each quantized image across multiple threshold levels. SSIM scores can be calculated for the quantized images to determine a best image for binarization. A best binary image can be generated.

Systems and methods for containerizing multilayer image segmentation

Systems and methods for detection, grading, scoring and tele-screening of cancerous lesions are described. A complete scheme for automated quantitative analysis and assessment of human and animal tissue images of several types of cancers is presented. Various aspects of the invention are directed to the detection, grading, prediction and staging of prostate cancer on serial sections/slides of prostate core images, or biopsy images. Accordingly, the invention includes a variety of sub-systems, which could be used separately or in conjunction to automatically grade cancerous regions. Each system utilizes a different approach with a different feature set. For instance, in the quantitative analysis, textural-based and morphology-based features may be extracted at image- and (or) object-levels from regions of interest.

Systems and methods for automated screening and prognosis of cancer from whole-slide biopsy images

Described herein are systems and methods for performing multi-stage detection and classification of cancer regions from digitized images of biopsy slides. Novel methods for processing the digitized images to improve feature extraction and structure identification are disclosed, including but not limited to the use of quaternions, logarithmic mappings of color channels, and application of wavelets to logarithmic color channel mappings. The extracted features are utilized in improved machine learning algorithms that are further optimized to analyze multiple color channels in multiple dimensions. The improved machine learning algorithms include techniques for accelerating the training of the algorithms, making their application to biopsy detection and classification practical for the first time. The performance of the described systems and methods are further improved by the disclosure of a novel multistage machine learning scheme, in which additional classifiers are utilized to choose among the classes proposed by other classifiers in close cases.
