An electronic device includes: an electronic panel including a first area, a folding area, and a second area, arranged along a first direction, the folding area being folded with respect to a folding axis defined in a second direction crossing the first direction; a support layer under the electronic panel and comprising a folding portion overlapping the folding area and provided with a plurality of holes defined therethrough, a first portion overlapping the first area, and a second portion overlapping the second area; and a folding sensing module comprising a sensing pad being electrically conductive, a driver configured to apply an electrical signal to the sensing pad, and a sensing line connecting the sensing pad and the driver.

Electronic device

A display device includes: a display panel including: a display layer; and a sensor layer on the display layer, and including first, second, and third areas; a first driver electrically connected with the sensor layer through a first pad area; and a second driver electrically connected with the sensor layer through a second pad area. The sensor layer includes: a plurality of electrodes at the first, second, and third areas; a plurality of first intersecting electrodes at the first area, and electrically connected with the first driver; a plurality of second intersecting electrodes at the second area, and electrically connected with the first driver and the second driver; and a plurality of third intersecting electrodes at the third area, and electrically connected with the second driver. Each of the first pad area and the second pad area is spaced from the second area in a first direction.

A display device, includes: a base substrate; a display element layer on the base substrate, the display element layer including a driving electrode; an insulation layer on the display element layer, the insulation layer defining an active region and a peripheral region adjacent to the active region; an input sensing layer on the insulation layer, the input sensing layer including a sensing electrode that overlaps the active region and a compensation electrode that overlaps the peripheral region, the sensing electrode and the driving electrode forming a parasitic capacitor; and a detection control circuit electrically connected through an output node to the sensing electrode and the compensation electrode, wherein the detection control circuit is configured to control a capacitance of the parasitic capacitor using a first offset capacitor, the first offset capacitor being formed by the compensation electrode.

An interface device includes an electronic device and an input device for communicating with the electronic device, wherein the electronic device includes a display layer, a sensor layer which is disposed on the display layer and senses a first input by the input device, a display driving unit for generating a vertical synchronization signal for driving the display layer, and a control unit for controlling the sensor layer, wherein the control unit outputs, in synchronization with a first vertical synchronization signal, a first uplink signal to the sensor layer and outputs, in synchronization with a second vertical synchronization signal, a second uplink signal having a phase different from a phase of the first uplink signal to the sensor layer.

Electronic device and interface device having sensor layer capable of operating in two modes

A display device includes a display panel including non-folding areas arranged along a first direction and a folding area between the non-folding areas, a first electrode on the display panel and extending in the first direction, and a second electrode on the display panel, insulated from the first electrode, and extending in a second direction crossing the first direction. Openings overlapping the folding area are in the first electrode.

Display device and method of driving the same

A display apparatus includes: a substrate having a first display area and a second display area; and a touch driving circuit configured to: receive first sensing signals of first touch sensors on the first display area; receive second sensing signals of second touch sensors on the second display area; generate first touch values based on the first sensing signals; generate second touch values based on the second sensing signals; generate corrected touch values by correcting the second touch values; and determine a touch location based on the first touch values and the corrected touch values.

An electronic device includes an input sensor that senses an input from an outside source to obtain a sensing coordinate. The input sensor has a plurality of sensing units defined therein. A memory stores a first modeling data obtained from first and second sensing units and a second modeling data obtained from first and third sensing units. A controller corrects the sensing coordinate to obtain a calculated coordinate. The controller comprises a first reference point moving unit that converts the sensing coordinate into a first middle coordinate based on a coordinate system having a plurality of coordinate units. A coordinate correction unit obtains a second middle coordinate by correcting the first middle coordinate based on the first and second modeling data. A second reference point moving unit obtains the calculated coordinate based on the second middle coordinate.
