According to a lighting apparatus of the present disclosure, an organic light emitting material and a metal layer may be deposited in a state that an edge region of a film being transported is blocked by a shielding member not to form an organic light emitting layer and a second electrode in a region on which a pad is formed. A lighting apparatus may be completed by separating the film as it is cut in a width direction, wherein the organic light emitting layer and the second electrode are exposed to the outside through the cut surface, and an open region from which the organic light emitting layer and the second electrode are removed in parallel to both cut surfaces may be formed within the lighting apparatus spaced apart from the cut surface of the film to disconnect the organic light emitting layer.

Lighting apparatus using organic light emitting device and method of fabricating thereof

A lighting apparatus using an organic light-emitting diode and a method of fabricating the same are characterized in that an organic emissive material and a conductive film used as a cathode are deposited on the entire surface of a substrate, and then an organic emissive layer in a lighting area and contact areas becomes separated (disconnected or cut) by laser ablation, simultaneously with the formation of a contact hole for contact with an anode. Next, cathode contact and encapsulation processes are performed using an adhesive containing conductive particles and a metal film. This simplifies the fabrication process of the lighting apparatus without using an open mask (metal mask), which is a complicated tool, thus making it useful especially in roll-to-roll manufacturing.

Lighting apparatus using organic light-emitting diode and method of fabricating the same

A plurality of lighting apparatuses according to the present disclosure may be formed on a film having flexibility, and then cut to complete each unit lighting apparatus, and an lighting apparatus formed on the film may be provided with an aging pad to apply an aging voltage to the organic light emitting layer through the aging pad so as to age the lighting apparatus during the process of forming the lighting apparatus, and when the film formed with the lighting apparatus is cut and divided into individual lighting apparatuses, the aging pad may be removed and cut, and only a pad line for electrically connecting the aging pad to the first electrode and the second electrode may remain in the lighting apparatus.

A lighting apparatus of the present disclosure may transport a film formed with a plurality of lighting apparatuses between rolls, and place a mask on an entire surface of the film to deposit an organic light emitting material in a state in which a part of the film is blocked to form an organic light emitting layer, and then deposit a metal layer by the same mask to form a second electrode, wherein the organic light emitting layer and the second electrode are not formed in a region where a pad is formed by the mask to open the pad and connect an external signal source thereto. The first electrode may be connected to a first pad and the second electrode may be connected to a second pad to apply a voltage, wherein a part of the organic light emitting layer is laser-etched to form a contact portion, and the second electrode is electrically connected to the second pad.

A lighting apparatus using an organic light emitting diode and a method of fabricating the same according to the present disclosure is configured such that a contact electrode is formed using laser ablation and printing after an organic light emitting material, a conductive layer for a cathode and a passivation layer are deposited on an entire surface of a substrate, and then encapsulated with a metal film. The present disclosure simplifies a fabricating process of the lighting apparatus by virtue of a non-use of an open mask (metal mask) as a sophisticated apparatus, and particularly, can be effectively applied to a roll-producing process. According to the present disclosure, an organic light emitting material and a metal may be entirely deposited on a substrate without using an open mask to form an organic light emitting device, thereby facilitating application to a roll fabrication apparatus. A side surface of an organic light emitting layer may be exposed to the outside, but a step structure may be formed on an outer portion of the substrate, and the organic light emitting layer is disconnected between an outer region and a lighting region by the step of the step structure, thereby preventing moisture that penetrates into the organic light emitting layer in the outer region from being propagated to the organic light emitting layer in the lighting region.

A touch screen panel for a display device includes layers of polymer formed on both sides of a substrate for forming driving electrodes and sensing electrodes. The substrate may be made of materials such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Instead of bonding a window cover made of a heavy material, layers or polymer are formed on both sides of the substrate to afford rigidity to the touch screen panel. By removing the window cover, the weight and thickness of the touch screen panel can be reduced.

A method of manufacturing a flexible display according to one exemplary embodiment of the present invention may include: forming a sacrificial layer on a carrier substrate; forming a flexible substrate on the sacrificial layer; forming a TFT array on the flexible substrate; etching the sacrificial layer to separate the flexible substrate from the carrier substrate; attaching the flexible substrate to an adhesive roll; and attaching the flexible substrate, which has been attached to the adhesive roll, to a rear substrate.

Method of manufacturing flexible display

An apparatus and method for manufacturing a flexible display device by a roll-to-roll method, are discussed. According to an embodiment, the apparatus includes a substrate transferring part for transferring a lower substrate attached onto a carrier substrate; a substrate separating part for separating the carrier substrate from the lower substrate transferred by the substrate transferring part; an upper bonding part for bonding an upper substrate to an upper surface of the lower substrate from which the carrier substrate is separated; and a lower bonding part for bonding a rear substrate to a lower surface of the lower substrate from which the carrier substrate is separated.
