Disclosed are a safety system of a fuel cell vehicle and a control method for the safety system. A safety system of a fuel cell vehicle using a fuel cell and a high voltage battery as a power source may include: a power switch disposed on a power wire connecting the power source and a power load to each other; an insulation resistance measuring device measuring an insulation resistance between the power wire and a chassis; and a controller controlling an operation of the power switch based on a measured insulation resistance measured by the insulation resistance measuring device. When the measured insulation resistance is equal to or less than a reference resistance, the controller enters a safe mode and the power switch is turned off to thereby block power supplied to the power load.

Safety system of fuel cell vehicle and control method for the same

An apparatus and method for controlling cooling of electronic components of a fuel cell vehicle are provided. The apparatus for controlling cooling of electronic components connected in series and parallel with a coolant loop in a fuel cell vehicle using a pump includes a monitor configured to collect measured temperature of the electronic components and a measured temperature of a coolant through a plurality of temperature sensors, and a controller configured to control the RPM of the pump based on the measured temperatures and at least one of electronic component temperature maps, a coolant temperature map and a temperature difference map representing temperature differences between the electronic components and coolant, the controller controlling the RPM of the pump using over-temperature set information and over-temperature reset information of each temperature map.

Apparatus and method for controlling cooling of electronic components of fuel cell vehicle

An air and coolant control system comprising: a heat source configured to receive air, generate heat, receive coolant, conduct the received coolant to a coolant outlet, and transfer the generated heat to the received coolant, thereby removing the generated heat from the heat source as the coolant is conducted out of the heat source; an air supply source configured to supply the air to the heat source; an air supply control system configured to adjust the supply of air from the air supply source to the heat source based on a dynamic feedback temperature characteristic from the heat source; a coolant supply source configured to supply the coolant to the heat source; and a coolant control system configured to adjust the flow rate of the coolant based on an estimated feed-forward heat source characteristic and to adjust the temperature of the coolant based on the dynamic feedback temperature characteristic.
