A radio frequency (RF) unit, a digital unit, and methods of transmitting and receiving data in a wireless communication system are provided. The digital unit may include: a transceiver configured to receive compressed data from an RF unit, a processor configured to divide a frequency domain and a time domain into a plurality of blocks, set a compression parameter to be applied to each of the plurality of blocks, and expand the received data in units of the blocks based on the set compression parameter, and a memory storing the compression parameter.

Method and device for transmitting/receiving signal in wireless communication system

The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving signals in a wireless communication system. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, random access signals including preamble sequences transmitted from a user equipment (UE) may be detected during a plurality of observation periods. A temporary timing advance (TA) value may be determined based on a preamble sequence of a random access signal having greater signal strength among the plurality of random access signals detected in the plurality of observation periods. A final TA value may be acquired based on the temporary TA value according to a result of comparison between the strengths of the random access signals received in the plurality of observation periods and a preset threshold value. A random access response signal including the final TA value may be transmitted to the UE.

Method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving signals in wireless communication system

A method and apparatus is provided for determining, by a receiving end, a correction time value according to ranging access in a wireless communication system. A reception apparatus in a wireless communication system comprises a signal period selector for selecting a first detection time interval and a second detection time interval from a RACH signal for ranging access, the RACH signal including a RACH preamble sequence, a time offset detector for detecting a first time offset and a second time offset, each corresponding to a point of time when the preamble sequence is received, from the selected first detection time interval and the second detection time interval, respectively, and a time offset determiner for determining a correction time value for correcting a point of time when data is transmitted by a transmitting end in the wireless communication system, on the basis of the detected first time offset and the second time offset. This research was carried out with the support of 'Pan-government Giga Korea Project' led by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning.

Method for determining correction time in wireless communication system and apparatus therefor

The present invention relates to a preamble signal detection method of a receiving device, and a device therefor. A preamble signal detection method of a receiving device, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, can comprise the steps of: receiving a plurality of preamble signals for random access through a physical random access channel (PRACH); determining at least one preamble signal corrupted by an interference signal among the received plurality of preamble signals; combining the remaining preamble signals excluding the at least one corrupted preamble signal among the plurality of preamble signals; and detecting a peak value of the combined preamble signals. The study was performed with the support of the 'Governmental Department Giga KOREA Business' of the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning.

Preamble signal detection method in wireless communication system and device therefor

Provided are a cell ID determination method and apparatus for a receiving device in a wireless communication system. The cell ID determination method for a receiving device may include: receiving a first synchronization signal and a second synchronization signal; generating a first joint signal by concatenating the first synchronization signal and the second synchronization signal; calculating the correlation between the first joint signal and each of a preset number of cell IDs; and determining a cell ID using the calculated correlations.

Cell ID determination method and device in wireless communication system

A mobile station is capable of detecting a signal in the wireless communication systems using the Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO). The mobile station includes an apparatus that determines a vector of signals received by several receiving antennas. The apparatus estimates a channel between transmitting antenna and receiving antenna; forms a channel matrix; establishes, based on the channel state data, an order for detecting symbols transmitted by different transmitting antennas; calculates weight coefficients for detecting the symbols in the MIMO system; detects the symbols serially in the established order on the basis of the received signal vector; calculates the Euclidean distance between the detected symbols and the symbol constellation points; determines values of the Logarithmic Likelihood Ratio (LLR) for estimating the soft output bit probability, and forms a group of the most probable candidate symbols from the points of the symbol constellation.
