Disclosed are signal transmitting apparatus and method capable of generating polarizations that can be controlled in real time by allocating weights to signals. A signal transmitting method for generating variable polarizations having any vector through a plurality of radiating elements vertical to each other includes: receiving an input signal and separating the input signal into a plurality of separated signals according to the number of radiating elements; and allocating weights for controlling vectors of the variable polarizations to each of the plurality of separated signals, wherein the vectors of the variable polarizations are represented by a vector sum of the plurality of separated signals allocated with weights.

Signal transmitting/receiving apparatus and method for controlling polarization

An antenna system includes: an orthogonal multi-polarization antenna configured to output independent double orthogonal polarizations through two independent input/output terminals; an antenna main control unit configured to perform a polarization control algorithm, collect and analyze information for polarization control, and provide polarization control information; and a polarization control unit configured to perform independent amplitude and phase control with regard to a pair of independent channels connected to the orthogonal multi-polarization antenna, based on the polarization control information received from the antenna main control unit, so that various polarizations are formed.

Provided is a small monopole antenna, which can generate a plurality of resonant frequencies, have a high antenna efficiency, and be easily installed. The antenna includes a first antenna element formed of a coaxial cable; a second antenna element sealing the first antenna element and sharing a feed point with the first antenna element; and a feeder cable for feeding electric power to the feed point. The antenna system includes a tri-band feeding unit for dividing a satellite broadcasting signal by a signal channel in an azimuth angle and an elevation angle, and transmitting/receiving the satellite communication signal through distinguishing the satellite communication signal; a beam shaping unit for dividing the satellite broadcasting signals into a first channel signal and a second channel signal, combined power thereof through channel switching; an antenna controlling unit for driving an antenna system in an azimuth and elevation angle to direct the satellite according to the power combined second channel signal from the beam shaping unit; a first triplexer unit for outputting the power combined first channel signal to a rotary joint unit; a second triplexer unit for converting the first channel signal inputted to a downlink frequency and providing the converted first channel signal to the indoor apparatus.

Multi-mode antenna and method of controlling mode of the antenna

Provided is an antenna system for tracking a satellite which includes a fixed body and a rotating body. The antenna system includes a transmitting/receiving unit having a transmitting channel and a receiving channel for signal power, a driving unit for enabling mechanical motion of the rotating body for satellite tracking, and a control unit for monitoring and controlling the operation of the driving unit. Accordingly, the various kinds of the components of the antenna system mounted and operated on the movable body can be minimized and the output of the transmitted signal required in the antenna system can be simply replaced, thereby simplifying the configuration of the system and reducing the production cost of the system. In addition, the STR having the tracking signal processing function in the digital mode as well as the general analog mode is mounted on the antenna system, thereby improving accuracy of satellite tracking. Moreover, the posture of the antenna system can be stably maintained regardless of the motion of the movable body in the moving environment by using the driving unit and the control unit which are designed for stably controlling the elevation, azimuth and antenna rotating angle, thereby improving communication performance that is the intrinsic object of the antenna system.

The apparatus for correcting a phase of a phased array antenna for receiving a radio signal, includes a phased array antenna for receiving radio signals from a reference antenna and combining power of the received radio signals, a power dividing unit for dividing the combined power of the received radio signals, a voltage detecting unit for detecting voltage values of the divided radio signals, and a phase controlling unit for estimating a phase error that makes the detected voltage value maximum and controlling a phase of each radiation element of the phased array antenna using the estimated phase error.

The apparatus includes: an angular velocity estimating unit for estimating an angular velocity signal by removing an error signal generated from an input angular velocity sensor signal through a first low frequency band filtering operation; and an inclination angle estimating unit for estimating an inclination angle signal by receiving an inclination angle sensor signal, extracting low frequency component of inclination angle signal through performing a second low frequency band filtering operating on the received inclination angle sensor signal, obtaining an inclination angle integrating signal through integrating the estimated angular velocity signal, extracting high frequency component of inclination angle signal through performing a high frequency band filtering operation on the inclination angle integrating signal, and adding the extracted low frequency component and high frequency component of inclination angle signal.

Provided is a conical scanning antenna system using a nutation method. The conical scanning antenna system includes: a main reflecting unit; a sub-reflecting unit which is disposed apart from the main reflecting unit by a predetermined distance and performing a conical scanning tracking by using the nutation method; and a feeding horn which doubly reflects electromagnetic wave inputted and radiated by the main reflecting unit and the sub-reflecting unit and inputs and outputs the electromagnetic wave by electrically steering beams.

The apparatus includes: a power splitting unit for splitting a signal inputted through the satellite communication antenna to more than two signals; a tuner unit for receiving the split signals from the power splitting unit and passing only signal of a predetermined channel frequency band; an analog-to-digital converting unit for converting each of signal intensities passed in the tuner unit to a digital value; and a controlling and identifying unit for determining whether a satellite traced by the satellite communication antenna is a target satellite using each of the signal intensities of the predetermined channel frequency band inputted from the A/D converting means, and controlling an orientation direction of the satellite communication antenna.
