A method is disclosed for providing a virtual image to a user in a Head-Mounted Display (HMD) device. The method includes detecting an ambient illumination, calculating a target transmissivity of window provided in the HMD device, based on the ambient illumination, adjusting a transmissivity of the window based on the calculated target transmissivity, and providing a virtual image to the user by projecting light to the window from a projector provided in the HMD device.

A method of changing a light transmittance of a head-mounted display device including a display and an optical lens and a head-mounted display device. The method includes identifying an application displayed on the display of the head-mounted display device in front of a portion of the optical lens; identifying a first light transmittance based on a type of the application or a type of a content of the application; changing, by a processor, a light transmittance of the optical lens to the first light transmittance; and displaying the content of the application on the display while the light transmittance of the optical lens is maintained in the first light transmittance.

Head-mounted display device and method of changing light transmittance of the same

A head mounted display (HMD) apparatus and a display method thereof are provided. The apparatus includes a display configured to provide an image, an active element comprising a plurality of micro-mirrors and configured to reflect the image provided on the display, and a processor configured to detect a user's eyesight and adjust a focal length of the image provided on the display by controlling a gradient of at least some of the plurality of the micro-mirrors based on the detected user's eyesight.

A head-mounted electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention may comprise: a curved display; a frame having a mounting surface having a curvature such that the curved display is mounted thereon; and a pair of optical assemblies provided on the left and right sides of the interior of the frame, respectively, so as to provide displayed images to the left and right eyes of the user, the optical assemblies comprising a first lens that forms a view angle of a binocular field of view and a second lens arranged to slope with regard to the first lens, thereby forming an additional view angle of the left or right field of view. A method of avoiding a channel interference in a single channel sensor network, includes periodically measuring an energy of a channel used by at least one node included in the sensor network; exchanging the measured energy of the channel with a neighbor node of the at least one node; receiving energy of all nodes of the sensor network and determining if there is an interference, by a coordinator node, which is a highest node of the at least one node; and when it is determined that there is an interference, switching a channel influenced by the interference to a channel which has been scanned by the coordinator node and is not influenced by the interference, thereby avoiding an influence of the interference.

A method and apparatus for authenticating a sensor node in a sensor network. The method for authenticating a sensor node by a first sink node in a sensor network includes receiving an authentication request using an authentication ticket from the sensor node, identifying a second sink node which has issued the authentication ticket, decoding the authentication ticket using a group key, which is previously stored in correspondence to the second sink node to confirm the validity of the authentication ticket, when the second sink node is included in a neighboring node list, normally processing authentication for the sensor node, generating an authentication ticket using a group key of the first sink node, and transmitting the generated authentication ticket to the sensor node.

Method and apparatus for authenticating a sensor node in a sensor network

Disclosed a system and method for mutual authentication between a node and a sink in a sensor network. At least one sink periodically creates a neighboring sink list including information on at least one adjacent sink, and the sink requests node authentication to a base station when receiving an authentication request from the node and transmits its own neighboring sink list to the node when the node authentication has been completed. When the node moves and requests authentication to another sink, the another sink stores a neighboring sink list received from the node, determines if a node-authenticable sink exists in its own neighboring sink list according to the authentication request, and requests re-authentication of the node to the node-authenticable sink when the node-authenticable sink exists, so that re-authentication between the node and the sink is easily performed.
