An OLED display device and a method of fabricating the same are disclosed. The OLED display device includes a substrate including a display area provided with an organic light emitting element and a pad area provided with a plurality of pads, the pad area formed around the display area, an encapsulation layer formed on the substrate such that the encapsulation layer covers the organic light emitting element, and a dam formed between the display area and the pad area, the dam controlling flow of an organic film material constituting the encapsulation layer.

An electroluminescent display device is provided. The device includes a substrate on which a display area displaying an image and a non-display area surrounding the display area are defined. The device includes a thin film transistor and a light-emitting diode disposed in the display area on the substrate and electrically connected to each other. The device further includes an encapsulation part covering the thin film transistor and the light-emitting diode, a touch sensor part on the encapsulation part, and first and second crack stoppers disposed in the non-display area on the substrate. The second crack stopper is disposed between the first crack stopper and the display area. The first crack stopper includes a first pattern that is formed through a same process as an electrode layer of the touch sensor part.

An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display device and a method for driving the same, are capable of achieving an enhancement in response characteristics of OLEDs and an enhancement in display picture quality through application of an overdriving (or accelerated driving) method taking into consideration intrinsic response characteristics of OLEDs. The OLED display device includes an image display panel including a plurality of pixel regions, and a driving integrated circuit for converting digital image data into an analog image signal, generating a plurality of gamma voltage levels through modulation, for overdriving or accelerated driving of the analog image signal, and modulating gray levels of the digital image data such that the modulated gray levels correspond to the modulated gamma voltage levels, for display of an image according to the modulated image data on the image display panel.

An organic electroluminescent display device includes: first and second substrates facing and spaced apart from each other, the first and second substrates including at least one pixel region having first, second and third sub-pixel region; a gate line and a data line on the first substrate, the gate line and the data line crossing each other to define the at least one pixel region; a first electrode on the first substrate in each of the first, second and third sub-pixel regions; first, second and third organic patterns on the first electrode in the first, second and third sub-pixel regions, respectively, the first, second and third organic patterns having a zigzag shape along a first direction parallel to the gate line with respect to a virtual line passing through a central portion of each of the first, second and third sub-pixel regions; and a second electrode on the first, second and third organic patterns.

Array substrate and liquid crystal display device using the same with parallelogrammic pixel region

A transflective liquid crystal display includes gate and data lines perpendicular to each other and defining a plurality of unit pixels. Each unit pixel includes a plurality of sub-pixel regions, which each have a transmissive portions and a reflective portion. The transmissive portions are gathered together within each unit pixel at corners of the sub-pixel regions opposing corners in which thin film transistors near the crossings of the gate and data lines are disposed. A passivation layer covering the thin film transistors and the gate and data lines has an opening that corresponds to the transmissive portions in the unit pixel. A reflector is formed over the passivation layer in each sub-pixel region and corresponds in position to the reflective portion. A pixel electrode in each sub-pixel region contacts the thin film transistor through a contact hole in the passivation layer.

Transflective liquid crystal display and method of fabricating the same

An array substrate for a transflective liquid crystal display device includes a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines disposed on a substrate and crossing each other to define a plurality of pixel regions, a thin film transistor adjacent to each crossing of the gate and data lines, a passivation layer covering the thin film transistor, a reflector in each pixel region and having an opening, the reflector overlapping the gate and data lines with an overlap width, and a transparent electrode in each pixel region and shifted in a first direction with respect to the reflector.
