A powertrain for a vehicle may include a motor; a planetary gear set mounted to rotate parallel to a rotation shaft of the motor so that one rotation element may exchange power with the motor; a front wheel driveshaft engaged to the planetary gear set to receive power from another rotation element of the planetary gear set and to transfer a rotating force to a front wheel coupled to the front wheel driveshaft; and a rear wheel driveshaft engaged to the planetary gear set and mounted to receive power from the other rotation element of the planetary gear set to rotate parallel to the rotation shaft of the motor, and to transfer a rotating force to a rear wheel coupled to the rear wheel driveshaft.

A method of controlling a hybrid power train may include: driving a first input shaft connected to a second motor-generator by the second motor-generator to synchronize a speed of a driven gear of a target gear position with a speed of an output shaft; moving a sleeve to directly connect the second input shaft, the output shaft, and the driven gear of the target gear position; decreasing torque of the first motor-generator and increasing torque of the second motor-generator to converge torque transferred from the second motor-generator to the output shaft, to torque of the output shaft; moving the sleeve to release the second input shaft and maintain only the output shaft and the driven gear; and increasing torque of an engine and decreasing the torque of the second motor-generator to converge torque transferred from the engine to the output shaft, to the torque of the output shaft.

Dual clutch transmission

Provided is a dual clutch transmission. First and second input shafts are mounted concentrically. First and second output shafts are mounted in parallel to the first input shaft and respectively include output gears engaged with a ring gear of a differential. The rotations of first and second gears are restrained by the first input shaft. The rotations of third and fourth gears are restrained by the second input shaft. The rotations of fifth and sixth gears engaged with the second and third gears, respectively, are restrained by the first output shaft. The rotation of a seventh gear engaged with the first gear is restrained by the second output shaft. An eighth gear is engaged with the second gear to be rotatable about the second output shaft. A complex synchronizer may include a first connection gear and a second connection gear that are fixed to a shaft; a first external gear having a first sleeve, which can engage with the first connection gear by sliding along the shaft, and rotatably mounted on the shaft; a second external gear having a second sleeve, which can engage with the second connection gear by sliding along the shaft, and rotatably mounted on the shaft; and an intermediate gear being able to connect or disconnect the first sleeve and the second sleeve, depending on axial sliding states of the first sleeve and the second sleeve.

Complex synchronizer

A dual-clutch transmission may include: a first input shaft and a second input shaft mounted concentrically to the first input shaft; a first clutch mounted to the first input shaft to selectively transmit power to the first input shaft; a second clutch mounted to the second input shaft to selectively transmit power to the second input shaft; a first output shaft and a second output shaft mounted in parallel with the first input shaft and the second input shaft; an input shaft connection device provided to switch a power transmitting and a blocking state between the first input shaft and the second input shaft by use of a selection output shaft; a plurality of drive gears mounted on the first input shaft and the second input shaft; and a plurality of driven gears mounted on the first output shaft and the second output shaft engaged with the plurality of drive gears to form each shifting stage.

A powertrain for a vehicle may include a main shaft; a transmission unit provided to selectively supply power of a motor to the main shaft with different gear ratios; a differential connected to the main shaft; two driveshafts provided to output power in opposed directions from the differential; a rotating ring rotatably mounted on the main shaft through a first clutch; and a second clutch provided to select either a state where the rotating ring is connected to the transmission unit or a state where the rotating ring is connected to a selected driveshaft of the two driveshafts.

A dual clutch transmission for a vehicle may include a first input shaft to which a first clutch is connected; a second input shaft connected to a second clutch and disposed coaxially with the first input shaft; a first output shaft, a second output shaft and a third output shaft disposed in parallel with the first input shaft and the second input shaft; and a combined gear group including two pairs of external gears configured to be connected in series to each other or disconnected from each other so that power of the first input shaft is decelerated in two steps using the first output shaft to enable the second input shaft to be driven in a direction in which the first input shaft is driven.
