Discussed is a battery module which includes: a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked; a lower frame that covers a lower surface and both side surfaces of the battery cell stack; an upper frame that covers an upper surface of the battery cell stack; busbar frames that respectively cover front front and rear surfaces of the battery cell stack; and a connector that connects the busbar frame at the front surface with the busbar frame at the rear surface, wherein the connector is formed of a flexible flat cable (FFC) and attached to the upper frame.

Battery module and battery pack including the same

A battery module according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked; a module frame accommodating the battery cell stack and having an open upper part; and an upper plate covering the battery cell stack over the open upper part of the module frame. The module frame includes a bottom part and two side parts opposite to each other. The bottom part of the module frame includes a first region and a second region, the first region being located along an edge of the bottom part extending along at least one of the side parts of the module frame, and the second region being located inside the first region. The thickness of the bottom part of the module frame is smaller in the second region than in the first region.

A battery module includes a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked; a frame formed on upper, lower, left and right surfaces to house the battery cell stack; and an insulation coating layer formed on the upper, lower, left and right surfaces inside the frame, wherein a plurality of grooves corresponding to a bottom shape of the battery cell stack are formed on a lower surface inside the frame, and wherein a lower surface of the insulation coating layer is formed to be coated on the upper surface of the plurality of grooves.

A battery module according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked, a busbar frame connected to the battery cell stack and having a plurality of busbars, cell terraces each protruding from battery cells adjacent to each other among the plurality of battery cells included in the battery cell stack, and electrode leads each protruding from the cell terraces and having the same polarity, wherein the electrode leads overlap with the same busbar among the plurality of busbars, and include at least two welding points at overlapping portions of the same busbar and the electrode leads.

A battery module according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a battery cell stacked body where a plurality of battery cells are stacked; a bus bar frame that is formed in a front side and a rear side of the battery cell stacked body; and a bus bar formed at an outer side of the bus bar frame with reference to the battery cell stacked body and arranged to be electrically connected with an external power source, wherein the bus bar frame includes a plurality of fixing portions that protrude from the bus bar frame to cover an end of the bus bar.

A battery module with improved space utilization of a secondary battery includes a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked; a busbar frame formed on a front surface or a rear surfaces of the battery cell stack; a terminal busbar formed outside the busbar frame based on the battery cell stack to be electrically connected to an external power source; and an end plate covering the busbar frame, wherein the terminal busbar is formed is formed to have a recessed side surface, and a nut is inserted into a space formed by the recessed side surface and the busbar frame. A battery pack including the battery module is also provided.

A battery module which prevents laser transmission, and a battery pack including the same, comprises: a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked, a lower frame covering a lower surface and both side surfaces of the battery cell stack, an upper frame covering an upper surface of the battery cell stack, and a rib protruding from the upper frame so as to align with a pad located between an outermost battery cell of the battery cell stack and one of the side surfaces of the lower frame. The rib is configured to cut off a laser transmitted between the upper frame and the lower frame.

A battery module according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked; a U-shaped frame accommodating the battery cell stack and having an open upper portion; and an upper plate covering the battery cell stack at the open upper portion of the U-shaped frame. A surface of the battery cell stack extending parallel to a stacking direction of the plurality of battery cells is mounted on a bottom portion of the U-shaped frame. A stepped portion is formed on one side of the bottom portion of the U-shaped frame, and at least one of the battery cells includes a protruding portion protruding toward the stepped portion. The stepped portion may be formed by a bent portion of the bottom portion of the U-shaped frame.

An embodiment of the invention provides a battery module assembly, including: a first battery module including a first module case housing a plurality of battery cells, and a first input/output terminal and a second input/output terminal that are provided at one side of the first module case; and a second battery module including a second module case housing a plurality of battery cells, and a first input/output terminal and a second input/output terminal that are provided at one side of the second module case. The first input/output terminal of the first battery module may be formed by extending a first module bus bar connected to at least one of the plurality of battery cells inside the module case, and may extend to the second input/output terminal of the second battery module to be connected to the second input/output terminal.

Battery module and battery module assembly

A battery pack according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a plurality of unit modules consecutively disposed in a first direction, a unit cooling member having through-passages while being stacked with the unit modules, and a pressure member to press the unit cooling member. The through-passages of unit cooling members that are adjacent in the first direction are connected to allow a coolant to flow.

Battery pack

The present invention provides a battery module including: a battery cell laminate in which a plurality of battery cells having a structure in which an electrode assembly is inside a sealed battery case with an electrolyte solution are arranged with the sides being in contact with each other; and a cooling/buffering member, mounted beneath the battery cell laminate to support a load of the battery cell laminate, and formed of a porous structure to emit heat generated from the battery cell laminate during a charge and discharge process down the battery cell laminate.
