A display device includes a sensing circuit and a controller which selects a pixel row in a frame period. A vertical blank period of the frame period includes a sensing time in which the sensing circuit performs a sensing operation for the selected pixel row. The sensing circuit measures a first source voltage of a driving transistor of a pixel in the selected pixel row at a first time point of the sensing time, and measures a second source voltage of the driving transistor at a second time point of the sensing time. The controller calculates a threshold voltage parameter and a mobility parameter based on the first and second source voltages, predicts a saturated source voltage of the driving transistor based on the threshold voltage parameter and the mobility parameter, and calculates a threshold voltage of the driving transistor based on the saturated source voltage.

Display device, and method of sensing a driving characteristic

A scan driver for a display device includes a plurality of scan stage groups, each of the scan stage groups including a first scan stage and a second scan stage. The first scan stage includes: a first transistor including a gate electrode coupled to a first Q node, one electrode coupled to a first scan clock line, and another electrode coupled to a first scan line; a second transistor including a gate electrode and one electrode, which are coupled to a first scan carry line, and another electrode coupled to the first Q node; a third transistor including a gate electrode coupled to a first control line and one electrode coupled to a first sensing carry line; a fourth transistor including a gate electrode coupled to the other electrode of the third transistor, one electrode coupled to a second control line, and another electrode coupled to a first node; a first capacitor including one electrode coupled to the one electrode of the fourth transistor and another electrode coupled to the gate electrode of the fourth transistor; a fifth transistor including a gate electrode coupled to a third control line, one electrode coupled to the first node, and another electrode coupled to the first Q node; and a sixth transistor including a gate electrode coupled to the first Q node, one electrode coupled to the second control line, and another electrode coupled to the first node.

Scan driver for a display device with reduced degradation of transistors

A display device includes a display panel, a scan driver, a data driver, a sensing circuit, and a controller configured to select a pixel row from a plurality of pixel rows in a vertical blank period of each frame period. The vertical blank period includes a sensing time in which the sensing circuit performs a sensing operation for the selected pixel row. The sensing circuit measures a first source voltage of a driving transistor of each pixel in the selected pixel row at a first time point of the sensing time, and measures a second source voltage of the driving transistor at a second time point of the sensing time. The controller predicts a current saturated source voltage of the driving transistor based on the first and second source voltages, and determines a threshold voltage change amount of the driving transistor based on a difference between a previous saturated source voltage and the current saturated source voltage.

Scan driver for a display device

A display device may include display pixels configured to emit light at a luminance corresponding to a data signal, at least one auxiliary pixel configured to store an auxiliary voltage, a gate driver configured to supply a gate signal to the display pixels and the auxiliary pixel, a data driver configured to convert image data into the data signal, and supply an auxiliary voltage having a preset level to the auxiliary pixel. A sensing circuit is configured to sense a change in the auxiliary pixel for each frame, and generate compensation voltage information. A timing controller is configured to convert an image signal into the image data, and generate a driving voltage control signal. A voltage generation unit is configured to generate a driving voltage corresponding to the driving voltage control signal, and generate the reference gamma voltage based on the driving voltage.

Anti-flicker display device

A stretchable display device includes a stretchable substrate capable of being expanded or contracted in a first direction and pixel portions on the stretchable substrate. The pixel portions include rigid areas provided with a light emitter to selectively emit light depending on a driving signal and elastic areas surrounding the rigid areas. The pixel portions are continuously adjacent to each other in the first direction to form a plurality of pixel lines. The pixel portions included in a first pixel line and a second pixel line that are adjacent in the second direction are arranged in a zigzag form along the first direction.
