The present invention relates to a refrigerator for providing a user with a variety of information using an avatar. The present invention comprises a storage device for storing avatar data including a figure and/or a motion of the avatar, a display device provided on an outer surface of the refrigerator to display the avatar, a control device for selecting the avatar to be displayed on the display device among the avatar data stored in the storage device and causing the display device to display the avatar, and an input device for receiving a command or information input from the outside. According to the present invention so configured, there is an advantage in that the display device can display a variety of avatars stored in the storage device in conformance with a condition.

A display unit installing structure for a refrigerator includes an accommodating unit which is formed by depressing a portion on a front surface of a door and in which a display unit for displaying a variety of information thereon and inputting operating signals are retractably installed; a link mechanism for guiding accommodation and withdrawal of the display unit and tiltably supporting the display unit withdrawn from the accommodating unit at a predetermined angle; and a locking arrangement for preventing the display unit from being inadvertently escaping from the accommodating unit. Home-bar door opening/closing device for refrigerator

A switching device for an integrated product, such as a display, installed on a front surface of a door of a refrigerator is provided. The switching device includes a hinge assembly which rotatably couples the door to the refrigerator. The hinge assembly includes a power switch that applies power to the display, and a connector that connects the display to an external signaling/communication source. The switch may be provided on a lateral surface of a hinge plate portion of the assembly, and the connector may be provided on a rear surface of the hinge plate. The power switch and the connector may be connected to the display by lead wires.

A drainage structure for a refrigerator equipped with an integrated product is provided. A mounting space is provided on a front surface of a door of the refrigerator to receive an integrated product such as a TV. A plurality of recesses are formed in an inner surface of the mounting space. The recesses prevent water drops from flowing downward along the inner surface. A plurality of valleys may also be formed on the inner surface on which the recesses are formed. The valleys may have an irregular shape, and serve to reduce the size of water drops. Thus, moisture formed in a space into which the integrated product is mounted can be evaporated and discharged to the outside due to heat generated by the integrated product when it is operated.
