A device includes a first housing, a camera residing at least partially within the first housing, a switch residing at least partially within the first housing, and a second housing coupled to the first housing and at least partially residing within the first housing. The switch is configured to disable the camera. The second housing includes a receptacle configured to receive a battery, and an arm having a tab configured to engage and disengage a lever of the switch to disable the camera. One or more contacts at least partially reside within the first housing and are configured to electrically connect to an accessory coupled to the first housing.

An audio/video (A/V) device includes a first housing and a second housing that rotationally couples and uncouples to the first housing. The first housing includes a frame having a first cavity, a second cavity, and a wall disposed between the first cavity and the second cavity. Security camera device with passive infrared (PIR) sensors

This disclosure describes, in part, techniques for using multiple passive infrared sensors to determine a distance to an object. For instance, an electronic device may include a first passive infrared sensor including a first FOV that extends a first distance from the electronic device and a second passive infrared sensor including a second FOV that extends a second distance from the electronic device further than the first distance. The electronic device may generate first sensor data using the first passive infrared sensor and second sensor data using the second passive infrared sensor. The electronic device may then determine a first amplitude associated with the first sensor data and a second amplitude associated with the second sensor data and determine a ratio between the amplitudes. After the ratio is determined, the electronic device may determine a distance associated with the ratio, generate image data based on the distance, and send the image data to computing device(s).

Techniques for determining distances using passive infrared sensors

A lens assembly includes a lens housing and a Fresnel lens array. The lens housing includes a first portion that defines an exterior surface and an interior surface, and a second portion. The second portion defines a cavity, where the interior surface is disposed within the cavity. The Fresnel lens array is disposed within the cavity and coupled to the interior surface. The Fresnel lens array includes a first lens element and a second lens element. The first lens element has first concentric grooves defined by first translation edges and first facets. The first translation edges are disposed at thirty degrees relative to a first center point of the first concentric grooves. The second lens element has second concentric grooves defined by second translation edges and second facets. The second translation edges are disposed at one degree relative to a second center point of the second concentric grooves.

A device including a mount, a first arm coupled to the mount, and a second arm coupled to the mount. The first arm includes first teeth and the second arm includes second teeth. A first light assembly rotationally couples to the first arm, and includes a first coupler that engages with the first teeth. A second light assembly rotationally couples to the second arm, and includes a second coupler that engages with the second teeth. A camera assembly pivotably couples to the mount, and includes a camera, a first passive infrared (PIR) sensor, and a second PIR sensor.

An audio/video (A/V) device includes a first housing and a second housing rotatably coupled to the first housing. The first housing includes a camera oriented in a first direction, one or more microphones oriented in the first direction, one or more first lighting elements oriented in the first direction, one or more second lighting elements oriented in a second direction, one or more third lighting elements oriented in a third direction, and one or more first contacts. The second housing includes a loudspeaker oriented in a fourth direction and one or more second contacts configured to engage with the one or one first contacts. One or more lenses are shaped and positioned to focus light received at the one or more lenses onto the first PIR sensor and the second PIR sensor.
