A method of controlling a first lighting unit of a group of lighting units is disclosed. The method comprised receiving a first signal communicated between a portable device and the first lighting unit, determining a first signal strength of the received first signal, setting, if the first signal strength exceeds a threshold, the portable device to a first control mode wherein only the first lighting unit of the group of lighting units is controlled by the portable device, and setting, if the first signal strength does not exceed the threshold, the portable device to a second control mode wherein the lighting units of the group are controlled by the portable device.

Method and a controller for controlling a group of lighting units

A system () for controlling a lighting system () is configured to receive user input representing a request to activate a query mode and transmit a command to the lighting system. The command instructs the lighting system to temporarily disable control of a lighting device (-) by a light control device (-). The system is further configured to receive control information from the lighting system. The control information describes a user interaction with the light control device and/or describes a function corresponding to the user interaction. The system is also configured to render audio and/or visual information describing the function corresponding to the user interaction to the user, e.g. on a display (), and transmit a further command to the lighting system. The further command instructs the lighting system to enable control of the lighting device by the light control device.

Disable control of a lighting device by a light control device in a query mode

The present disclosure provides a mobile device comprising: a motion sensor configured to determine a motion of the mobile device; a radiofrequency transceiver configured to receive an advertisement of at least one node; a controller configured to receive the motion of the mobile device; a user interface. The controller is configured to (i) obtain and parse the advertisement of the at least one node, when the mobile device is in a first motion, and (ii) display a list comprising the parsed advertisement of the at least one node on the user interface, when the mobile device is in a second motion. The first motion is the mobile device moving along a path and the second motion is the mobile device not moving away from a location on the path.
