The present disclosure relates to a method and a device for controlling congestion in a mobile communication system. A method for controlling congestion of a network node according to the present disclosure comprises the steps of: receiving congestion-related information from at least one base station; transmitting a user equipment information request message for making a request for information on a piece of user equipment corresponding to the base station to a mobility management entity; receiving a user equipment information response message including the information on the user equipment corresponding to the base station from the mobility management entity; and transmitting the information on the piece of user equipment corresponding to the base station to another core network node.

Method and device for controlling congestion in mobile communication system

A method performed by a master base station supporting a dual connectivity with a secondary base station in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes transmitting, to the secondary base station, address information associated with data forwarding, receiving, from the secondary base station, a first message associated with a data usage of the secondary base station, the first message including information on a data volume for a radio access technology (RAT) of the secondary base station, and transmitting, to a first network entity performing a mobility management, a second message including the information on the data volume for the RAT of the secondary base station, based on a trigger by a handover of a terminal from the master base station that is a source base station to a target master base station, wherein the data volume for the RAT of the secondary base station reported to the first network entity excludes data that is forwarded from the secondary base station to the target master base station based on the address information during the handover.

Provided are a discovery method and apparatus. A communication method for a user equipment (UE) may include: receiving first resource information indicating a first resource region and second resource information indicating a second resource region from an evolved Node B (eNB); receiving a first message from a second UE via the first resource region; checking whether the contents of the first message match the UE; and sending, when the contents of the first message match the UE, a second message associated with the first message to the second UE via the second resource region. A user equipment (UE) may include: a communication unit configured to receive first resource information indicating a first resource region and second resource information indicating a second resource region from an evolved Node B (eNB), and receive a first message from a second UE via the first resource region; and a control unit configured to check whether the contents of the first message match the UE.

Disclosed is a method of transmitting/receiving a signal in a Mobile Management Entity (MME) of a mobile communication system, the method comprising: transmitting a subscriber information request message including information of a UE, to a Home Subscriber Server (HSS); receiving, from the HSS, a response message which corresponds to the request message and includes an indicator indicating whether it is possible to perform traffic offloading using a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) with regard to an Access Point Name (APN) connection or a Packet Data Network (PDN) connection of the UE; determining whether it is possible to perform the traffic offloading using the WLAN, on the basis of at least one of information included in the received response message and information configured in the MME; and; and transmitting, to the UE, a message including information on whether it is possible to perform the traffic offloading using the WLAN. A communication method according to an embodiment of the present specification can generate one or more PDN connections with regard to one APN when the UE accesses a PDN through the WLAN. Further, the communication method according to the present invention can effectively be subjected to a traffic offloading control by the eNB even when the UE is roaming.

An electronic device provides low latency communication for an extended reality service. Based on a first value of quality of service (QoS) requested by an extended reality (XR) application stored in the electronic device, a first communication connection corresponding to the first value for receiving data regarding an XR service from an XR server is established. Based on a change of a value of the QoS from the first value to a second value, the first communication connection is maintained, and a second communication connection corresponding to the second value is established. Data regarding the XR service from the XR server is received via the second communication connection. A method for selecting an access network in a terminal of a mobile communication system according to one embodiment of the present specification comprises the steps of: if traffic is generated in the terminal, selecting an access network according to the characteristics of the generated traffic and network selection policy information; and transmitting and receiving the generated traffic via the selected access network. A method for managing congestion in a base station in a mobile communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: requesting user subscription information to a mobility management entity (MME); receiving the user subscription information from the MME; and performing a congestion control in a communication between terminals on the basis of the received user subscription information.
