A method of sealing an optical cable is disclosed. The optical cable includes an outer jacket defining an interior space, an optical fiber assembly disposed in the interior space, and a plurality of reinforcing filaments disposed in the interior space between the outer jacket and the optical fiber assembly. The method includes the steps of peeling off one end of the outer jacket to expose one end of the optical fiber assembly and one ends of the reinforcing filaments, and introducing an adhesive into the interior space through an opening formed in the outer jacket when the one end of the outer jacket is peeled off so as to seal the opening and to fix the positions of the reinforcing filaments and the optical fiber assembly.

Optical cable sealing method and optical cable sealing structure

An assembling jig for an optical-fiber connector includes two sleeve halves inter-connectible to form a sleeve body. Each of the sleeve halves includes a front half section, a rear half section extending rearwardly and longitudinally from the front half section, an abutment face extending longitudinally from the front half section to the rear half section, a strain relief sleeve holding groove opens at a front end face of the front half section and a cable passage groove opening at a rear end face of the rear half section. When the abutment faces abut with each other, the strain relief sleeve holding grooves cooperatively form a strain relief sleeve holding hole, and the cable passage grooves cooperatively form a cable passage hole.

Assembling jig for optical-fiber connector

A fiber optic distribution box includes a box body and detachable mounting caps to mount fiber optic connectors to the box body. The box body has a box terminal wall formed with through holes. The detachable mounting caps are disposed on the through holes and connected detachably to the box terminal wall. Each detachable mounting cap has a hollow cap body, and a mount hole formed inside the hollow cap body. The hollow cap body includes a cap bottom surface lying on the box terminal wall, and a front inclined cap surface inclined with respect to the box terminal wall. The mount hole extends through the front inclined cap surface and the cap bottom surface to communicate with a cable reception space of the box body through the respective through hole.

Detachable mounting cap and fiber optic distribution box having the same

A detachable mounting cap includes a hollow cap body and a mount hole formed inside the hollow cap body. The hollow cap body is configured to detachably connect a box body of a fiber optic distribution box, and includes a cap bottom surface configured to lie on the box body, and a front inclined cap surface inclinedly extending upward from the cap bottom surface and configured to be inclined with respect to the box body. The mount hole extends through the front inclined cap surface and the cap bottom surface, and is configured to communicate with a through hole of the box body and to detachably mount the fiber optic connector.

A fiber optic pulling grip assembly includes a front grip unit to grip a front end of a mesh of a fiber optic cable, and a rear grip unit to grip a rear end of the mesh. The rear grip includes a sleeve member and a tubular fastener. The sleeve member has an anti-slip portion that has protrusions to increase friction between the anti-slip portion and a rear end of the mesh. The tubular fastener is sleeved around the sleeve member. A cable entry hole of the tubular fastener allows insertion of the fiber optic cable into the sleeve member. The anti-slip portion and the tubular fastener cooperate to clamp therebetween the rear end of the mesh.

Fiber optic pulling grip assembly

A cable connecting assembly includes a tubular member, a securing member, a seal unit, and a hollow barrel member that defines an accommodating space. The tubular member is disposed in the accommodating space and has two annular grooves. The securing member has a coupling portion abutting against the tubular member and threadedly engaging the barrel member, and an abutment portion abutting against the barrel member. The seal unit includes two first seal rings respectively disposed in the annular grooves and sealingly contacting an inner surface of the barrel member, and a second seal ring sleeved on the coupling portion of the securing member and sealingly contacting the inner surface of the barrel member and the abutment portion of the securing member.

Cable connecting assembly

A power adapter includes a connecting unit having a base plate, and first and second bodies cooperatively clamping therebetween the base plate. The first body includes a first main plate having a first opening, a first sleeve member defining a first space configured to receive a plug connector of a connector mechanism, a first connecting member provided on one side of the first main plate, and a second connecting member provided on the other side of the first main plate. The second body includes a second main plate having a second opening, and a second sleeve member defining a second space and configured to receive a plug connector of another connector mechanism. The connecting unit further has a connection module extending through the base plate.

Power adapter

A cable connecting assembly includes a barrel member, a tubular member partially received in the barrel member, a securing member, and a seal unit. The tubular member includes a head part and a hollow tail part. The head part defines a receiving space adapted to receive an end portion of the cable therein. The tail part is connected to the head part, is adapted for a neck portion of the cable to extend therethrough, and is curved to extend in a direction transverse to the lengthwise direction. The tail part includes two body halves removably coupled to each other. The securing member has a through hole permitting extension of the tail part. The seal unit is sleeved on the head part and sealingly contacts an inner surface of the barrel member.

An assembly for installing an optical fiber cable which includes a fiber core assembly and a reinforcement yarn assembly surrounding the fiber core assembly. The assembly includes a leading unit having a yarn positioner for fixing a front part of the reinforcement yarn assembly, and a trailing unit including a front cap, a rear tube, and a middle tube that has front and rear threaded portions threadedly engage the front cap and the rear tube, respectively. The front cap has a threaded sleeve portion sleeving around the front threaded portion of the middle tube for clamping a rear part of the reinforcement yarn assembly against the middle tube, thereby fixing the rear part of the reinforcement yarn assembly.

Assembly for installing optical fiber cable

A clip device includes a clip detachably holding an outer housing of a fiber optic connector and having a front engaging portion that is detachably sleeved on the outer housing and that abuts against a protrusion member of the outer housing, and a rear abutting portion that abuts against lateral shoulder faces of the outer housing. A gripping handle extends from the rear abutting portion of the clip. A rearward removal force applied to the gripping handle is transmitted to the protrusion member of the outer housing to facilitate removal of the fiber optic connector. A frontward insertion force applied to the gripping handle is transmitted to the lateral shoulder faces of the outer housing to facilitate insertion of the fiber optic connector.

Clip device for facilitating insertion and removal of a push-pull fiber optic connector

A traceable cable assembly comprises: a fiber optic cable including a cable jacket that encloses an optical fiber, and two conductive elements that are embedded spacedly in the cable jacket and that extend along the optical fiber; and multiple lighting units spacedly secured to the fiber optic cable. Each lighting unit includes a connecting seat provided with a light emitting element, and mounted to the fiber optic cable so that the light emitting element is connected electrically between the conductive elements through the connecting seat. A portable power device is detachably coupled to the connecting seat of one lighting unit for supplying a supply voltage to the light emitting element of each lighting unit through the conductive elements.
