A method and apparatus for providing a local IP access service to a User Equipment (UE) attached to a femtocell including a Packet Data Network (PDN) gateway function in a wireless communication system. A method includes receiving a service request from a User Equipment (UE), transmitting an initial UE message including information on a local gateway to a Mobility Management Entity (MME), storing bearer information carried in an initial context setup request transmitted by the MME, receiving a Packet Data Network (PDN) connectivity request from the UE, forwarding the PDN connectivity request to the MME, receiving a create session request from the MME, and establishing a radio bearer with the local gateway, the local gateway being co-located with the femtocell.

Method and apparatus for supporting local IP access in a femto cell of a wireless communication system

The present invention relates to a method and a system for providing a sponsored service on an IMS-based mobile communication network, and comprises the steps of: a sponsored service client transmitting to a sponsored service server a sponsored service start request message; the sponsored service server determining the validity of the sponsored service after receiving the start request message; transmitting to the sponsored service client a sponsored service start acceptance message when the sponsored service server determines the sponsored service as valid; generating a sponsored service between the sponsored service client and an Internet service provider server; the sponsored service server generating charged fee information and transmitting the charged fee information to an authentication/authorization/accounting (AAA) server, when the sponsored service client requests termination of the sponsored service; and terminating the sponsored service session. According to the present invention, the sponsored service, in which a third pa&#x3c0;y Internet service provider can pay the cost using the mobile communication network instead of a wireless user equipment subscriber, can be provided, and the quality of the service can be dynamically controlled from the point the Internet service is provided.

Method and system for providing sponsored service on IMS-based mobile communication network

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for managing a Local IP Access (LIP A) connection in a local network system. The method of managing a LIP A connection of UE in a connected state according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of a source home base station for UE determining a handover of the UE; when the handover of the UE is determined, determining whether a target home base station is a Long Term Evolution (LTE) release 10 or a Pre Rel-11 HeNB; and when the target home base station is a Pre Rel-11 HeNB, disconnecting the LIP A connection of the UE. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the mobility of UE having a LIPA PDN connection can be efficiently controlled in a local network where a Rel-11 H(e)NB and a Pre Rel-11 H(e)NB exist together.

Method and apparatus for supporting mobility of UE in local network

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for managing a Local IP Access (LIP A) connection in a local network system. The method of managing a LIP A connection of UE in a connected state according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: a source home base station for UE determining a handover of the UE; when the handover of the UE is determined, determining whether a target home base station is a Long Term Evolution (LTE) release 10 or a Pre Rel-11 HeNB; and when the target home base station is a Pre Rel-11 HeNB, disconnecting the LIP A connection of the UE.
