A method and a terminal are described for providing a circuit switched (CS) service, a session initiation protocol (SIP)-based service, or a CSI service which is a combination of the CS service and an Internet Protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS) service. The terminal may receive a terminal capability version of at least one target terminal, and compare the received terminal capability version with a previously stored terminal capability version of the at least one target terminal. The terminal may send a message for requesting for terminal capability information of the at least one target terminal, if the received terminal capability version of the at least one target terminal is different from the previously stored terminal capability version of the at least one target terminal based on the comparison result. Otherwise, a CS or IMS process is implemented.

Terminal, method and system for performing combination service using terminal capability version

A terminal, method and system for providing a CS service, a SIP-based service, or a CSI service, are provided. According to an embodiment, the terminal includes a controller to receive a terminal capability version of at least one target terminal, to compare the received terminal capability version with a previously stored terminal capability version of the at least one target terminal, and to determine whether to request for terminal capability information of the at least one target terminal based on the comparison result, wherein the terminal capability version identifies a version of capabilities of the at least one target terminal.

Disclosed is a method for changing a performance controlling parameter of a mobile telecommunication terminal, in which the parameter is changed by using an SMS message of the mobile telecommunication terminal. The method preferably includes receiving a short message including a performance controlling parameter to be changed and applying the performance controlling parameter to the mobile telecommunication terminal. Method for changing performance controlling parameter for mobile telecommunication terminal

The present invention is related to synchronizing status information of an IMPS client in a wireless communication system. A server, which manages status information using version information, compares status information of contacts stored in association with version information received from a client to current status information. The server transmits changed status information to the corresponding client. Preferably, the server stores the current status information in association with new version information and informs the client about the new version information. The server stores at least two of the latest version information and respective status information. Accordingly, when a status information response message is lost in its transmission and the server receives a request for the status information from the client, the changed status information can be obtained.
