The present invention relates to an interworking device for interworking with a first network and exchanging data between a second network and a terminal device. The interworking device establishes a first wireless data path with the first network, and receives a first network address from an address allocation server of the first network through the first wireless data path. In addition, the interworking device establishes a second wireless data path with the terminal device, receives a second network address from an address allocation server of the second network through the second wireless data path, and transmits the second network address to the terminal device. Subsequently, the interworking device establishes a tunnel that passes through the first network and is accessed to the second network, and exchanges data with the second network.

Provided are an electronic surveillance system and a method thereof. In the electronic surveillance system that performs electronic surveillance on a subscriber in a communication network, the electronic surveillance system includes: one or more communication service providers that provide retained data, which is information generated while the subscriber uses a communication service; a dedicated storage that stores and manages the retained data provided by the communication service providers; and a law enforcement agency that requests the dedicated storage to send electronic surveillance information on a specific subscriber so as to be provided with the surveillance information when the electronic surveillance information on the specific subscriber is required. Accordingly, retained data, which is subscriber electronic surveillance information is integrally managed and stored in a dedicated storage. Thus, a communication service provider can reduce costs when a law enforcement agency requests subscriber electronic surveillance information. Furthermore, the subscriber electronic surveillance information can be efficiently managed.

The present invention relates to a device for interworking a wireless local area network (WLAN) and a portable Internet. The device establishes a first wireless data path following a first wireless communication protocol with a first network, and establishes a plurality of the second wireless data paths through the first wireless data paths. Here, the plurality of the second wireless data paths follow a second wireless communication protocol and respectively correspond to a plurality of terminal devices. Subsequently, the device establishes a plurality of first network links respectively corresponding to the plurality of terminal devices with the first network, and stores mapping information for the first network link corresponding to a relationship between the plurality of terminal devices and the plurality of first network links.

Disclosed is an interworking device for interworking with a first network and supporting signaling between a terminal and a second network. The interworking device sets a first wireless data path with the first network. The interworking device sets a first radio link with the terminal, receives an authentication message through a first radio link, and transmits the authentication message to an authentication server of the second network through the first wireless data path. When the authentication server finishes authentication, the interworking device sets a second wireless data path with the terminal. Accordingly, the interworking device provides an Internet service to the terminal during movement.

Disclosed is a communication vocoder. An encoder and a decoder in a first format, and a decoder in a second format are formed in the communication vocoder. The encoder in the first format encodes voice signals into voice packets in the first format, and the decoder in the first format decodes the voice packets in the first format into voice signals. When voice packets in the second format are input to the communication vocoder, the decoder in the second format decodes the voice packets in the second format into voice signals. The decoders in the first and second formats are formed as subroutines in the communication vocoder.
