A motion platform, a medical bed, and a medical device are provided. The motion platform may include a moveable plate, a first driving mechanism, a second driving mechanism, and a fulcrum mechanism. The first driving mechanism and the second driving mechanism may be connected to the moveable plate at a first support point and a second support point, respectively. The fulcrum mechanism may be connected to the moveable plate at a third support point. The first support point, the second support point, and the third support point may be non-collinear. The first driving mechanism and the second driving mechanism may be configured to cause the moveable plate to move in at least two degrees of freedom relative to the third support point.

Circuitry for determining temperature of an integrated circuit device includes, on the device, a ring oscillator and a bias current generator. The bias current generator is selectably operable in (i) a first mode having a first sensitivity to device temperature or (ii) a second mode having a second sensitivity to device temperature, to provide bias current for the ring oscillator. A controller operates the bias current generator in the first mode and records a frequency output of the ring oscillator, then operates the bias current generator in the second mode and records a frequency output of the ring oscillator, and determines the temperature of the integrated circuit device from a ratio of (a) the frequency output of the ring oscillator while the bias current generator operates in the first mode to (b) the frequency output of the ring oscillator while the bias current generator operates in the second mode.

Temperature sensor with reduced power supply voltage sensitivity

Embodiments described herein provide circuitry for reducing input distortion at a buffer due to large signal swings. The circuitry includes an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), a first buffer, a low pass filter, and a second buffer. The ADC is configured to convert an analog input to a digital output. The first buffer is coupled to an input node of the ADC and the low pass filter is coupled to an output of a driving circuit and an input to the first buffer. The second buffer placed in proximity to the first buffer. An input of the second buffer is connected to an output of the driving circuit and an output of the second buffer is connected to a feedback component of the driving circuit.

Methods and systems for reducing transient kickback from an analog-to-digital converter

Aspects of the disclosure provide an amplification circuit. The amplification circuit includes an amplifier and a first variable resistive device. The amplifier includes first and second input nodes configured to receive the first and second input electrical signals and first and second output nodes configured to output first and second output electrical signals having amplified voltages relative to the first and second input electrical signals. The first variable resistive device is electrically coupled to the second input node of the amplifier. The first variable resistive device being configured to have a selected resistance value to compensate for a direct current (DC) voltage difference between the first and second input electrical signals based on a DC voltage difference between first and second output electrical signals that are output from the first and second output nodes of the amplifier.

An apparatus for retention of molten material for a Generation IV reactor after a nuclear power plant accident comprises an inner wall which is peripherally closed, a vapor channel wall with an opening at the bottom fixed in the inner side of the inner wall, a pressure vessel disposed in the vapor channel wall, a vapor rising channel formed between the pressure vessel and the vapor channel wall, and it further comprises an outer wall surrounding the inner wall, a core molten material retention apparatus fixed at the bottom of the inner wall, and a deflector keeping away from the inner wall and the core molten material retention apparatus to form a gap; wherein a coolant falling channel is formed between the outer wall and the deflector, a coolant inlet is disposed at the bottom of the deflector, and a coolant channel is disposed between the inner wall and the core molten material retention apparatus; a core molten material retention recess is disposed at the upper surface of the core molten material retention apparatus, and the lower surface of the core molten material retention apparatus is arch-shaped; the core molten material retention apparatus is made of non-metal inorganic fireproof material. The invention adopts the design of molten material retention outside the reactor, using different material containing molten material and cooling the molten material by coolant cycle and the deflector structure, thus to improve the safety of the nuclear power plant.

The circuit includes a signal amplifying circuit coupled with a crystal component of a natural frequency to form a crystal oscillator, and a signal generator circuit configured to generate a signal with an energy distribution about the natural frequency, and to provide the signal to the crystal oscillator to assist the crystal oscillator to begin oscillating.

Method and apparatus for starting up oscillation

In accordance with the teachings described herein, systems and methods are provided for a time-interleaved pipeline analog to digital converter. An example pipeline analog to digital converter may include passive sampling circuits and a multiplying digital to analog converter circuit. A first passive sampling circuit includes an input terminal coupled to an analog input signal, and outputs a first sample voltage that is responsive to the analog input signal. A second passive sampling circuit includes an input terminal coupled to the analog input signal, and outputs a second sample voltage that is responsive to the analog input signal. The first and second passive sampling circuits are clocked such that the first sample voltage and the second sample voltage are time-interleaved. A multiplying analog to digital converter (MDAC) circuit receives the time-interleaved first and second sample voltages from the first and second passive sampling circuits and processes the time-interleaved first and second sample voltages to generate a residue output voltage.
