A transistor package for a power amplifier is provided. The transistor package includes a plurality of radio frequency, RF, paths that includes a first RF path and second RF path. Each RF path includes a transistor-carrying die and at least one impedance element. The transistor package includes a circuit portion electrically coupling a first impedance element in the first RF path to a second impedance element in the second RF path where the circuit portion includes at least one resistor.

Duplexers for high power applications are disclosed. In some embodiments, a duplexer includes 2N band pass filters, where N is an integer greater than 1. The 2N band pass filters each have an input and an output and are in an electrically parallel configuration. The duplexer includes a first adaptation circuit configured to couple a transmit signal received from a transmitter to each one of the 2N band pass filters. The duplexer includes a second adaptation circuit configured to couple outputs of the 2N band pass filters to an antenna, the second adaptation circuit providing an isolated path between the antenna and a receiver.

A multi-band transmitter circuit may include a multi-port network configured to divide an input multi-band signal comprising signal components at each of a plurality of frequency bands into a plurality of output multi-band signals. The multi-band transmitter circuit may also include a plurality of band-specific circulator paths. Each band-specific circulator path includes a circulator configured to receive the respective output multi-band signal and operate at a respective one of the frequency bands to provide a respective band-specific signal. The multi-band transmitter circuit further includes a filter circuit that includes a plurality of band-specific filter elements. Each band-specific filter element is coupled to a corresponding circulator and configured to receive the respective band-specific signal and operate at the same frequency band as the corresponding circulator to provide a filtered band-specific signal for transmission.

Systems and methods for characterizing an undersampled receiver generally comprise, in one embodiment, providing one or more probe signals to an input of an undersampled receiver. Each of the one or more probe signals has selective frequency components that ensure that aliases in a corresponding output signal of the undersampled receiver are unique. The undersampled receiver is then characterized based on the output signal(s) of the undersampled receiver. The selective frequency components of the one or more probe signals enable un-aliasing of the one or more output signals of the undersampled receiver and, as such, the undersampled receiver can be characterized.

A method and system for an acoustic wave band reject filter are disclosed. According to one aspect, an acoustic wave band reject filter includes a substrate and a plurality of acoustic wave band reject filter blocks. The substrate includes bonding pads formed on the substrate. Each one of the plurality of acoustic wave band reject filter blocks is fixed on a separate die. Each separate die has solder balls on a side of the die facing the substrate. The solder balls are positioned to electrically connect the bonding pads formed on the substrate to positions on each of the die.

The output of a carrier amplifier circuit in a Doherty amplifier is coupled to the summing node so that the impedance observed by the carrier amplifier's output is approximately equal to the load impedance at the combining node when the load impedance is not modulated. In an example non-inverting configuration, a power amplifier circuit is configured to provide an amplified signal to a load at a summing node, where the load has a first impedance when not load-modulated. The power amplifier circuit includes a splitter network arranged to receive the input signal and to split the input signal to provide a carrier input signal and a peaking input signal, a carrier amplifier path configured to amplify the carrier input signal in a full-power mode and in a first backoff mode, and a peaking amplifier path configured to amplify the peaking input signal in at least the full-power mode.

Transmitter observation receivers and methods are described that can predistortion-compensate transmitters capable of operating in multiple communication bands and frequency ranges. Such observation receivers and method involve generating at least one compensation signal such that a signal to be transmitted that is within a bandwidth that simultaneously encompasses multiple frequency ranges is compensated.
