The invention relates to a water-based intaglio printing ink especially suited for the intaglio printing of security documents, such as postage stamps, stock certificates and the like, wherein the water-based intaglio printing ink having a) an epoxy resin ester reacted with an unsaturated monobasic acid and a reactive monomer, b) a glycol and/or glycol ether c) a pigment, d) a monoalkanolamine, e) a drier and f) water.

Water-based intaglio printing ink

The invention relates to a heatset intaglio printing ink especially suited for the intaglio printing of security documents such as currency, postage stamps, stock certificates, bank notes and the like. The ink comprises: a) an epoxy resin ester reacted with an unsaturated monobasic acid and a reactive monomer, b) a glycol and/or glycol ether, c) a pigment, d) a drier and e) a compound obtained by reacting an amine/epoxy adduct with a phenolic resin or polyhydric phenol compound.

Heatset intaglio printing ink

The invention relates to a heatset printing ink especially suitable for the intaglio printing of security documents, particularly currency. The ink comprises: a) an epoxy resin ester reacted with an unsaturated monobasic acid and a reactive monomer, b) a cationic polyamide/ epichlorohydrin resin, c) a glycol and/or glycol ether, d) a pigment and e) a drier.

Heatset security ink

Printing fluid for printing cellulosic materials comprising (a) water; (b) a cationic polyaminoamide/epichlorohydrin resin; (c) a water soluble cationic dye; and (d) 0 up to about 3 wt. %, based on the weight of the printing fluid, of a bleachable pigment. The fluid preferably also contains up to about 50 wt. %, based on the weight of the fluid, of urea to enhance color strength. The printing fluid has excellent bleed resistance to common household products but is nevertheless bleachable so that printed materials such as paper toweling may be repulped and recycled.

The present invention relates to coal water slurries containing about 0.01% to 1% by weight of a water soluble terpolymer of ethylacrylate/methacrylic acid/ unsaturated carboxylic acid ester of an ethoxylated or nonethoxylated alcohol or an ethoxylated carboxylic acid. The water soluble terpolymer functions as a stablizing agent for the coal water slurry to prevent sedimentation and provide ease of pumping the coal water slurry. The water soluble terpolymer may be used alone or in combination with anionic or nonionic dispersants.

An effective amount of a free acid of a condensation product of naphthalenesulfonic acid and formaldehyde is added to a cementitious composition to improve its compressive strength and to reduce its water content. The free acid may be added to concrete, mortar, oil well cement slurries, grouting mixtures or the like. From about 0.05 to about 3.0% by weight is added to mortar mixtures and from about 0.1 to about 5.0% by weight is added to concrete mixtures.
