This invention relates to a tube-bending machine, which is so constructed that force detection means to detect a force acting in the axial direction of a mandrel under a tube-bending operation is disposed on the mandrel of tube-bending means so as to sense bending conditions such as a lubrication condition of an inner surface of a tube being bent and a mandrel position, and further that fluctuations from predetermined bending conditions, of the bending conditions during the tube-bending operation are detected and corrected.

In order to provide a method of producing magnetron anode at a good mass-produceability, according to the invention, so-called straight type steel cylinder blank the inner peripheral surface of which is not tapered is used and, at the same time, the step of quench-hardening of the steel cylinder blank is omitted. After fitting a copper block to the inside of the straight type steel cylinder blank which has not been quenched, both members are compacted to each other. Then, a press working is effected on the copper blank such that the steel cylinder blank and a back-up punch are forced to move relatively to each other, when a press-working shaping punch is forced into the copper block, thereby to form a copper anode. In order to avoid the bursting of the steel cylinder blank, the press work on the copper block is effected at a temperature of 200.degree. to 650.degree. C.

Method of producing magnetron anode

This invention relates to a method of manufacturing an article having a press-worked member inwardly of a cylindrical member, which comprises a first step for removing stain and oxidation film on the inner surface of a cylindrical member and on the peripheral side surface of a blank, a second step for arranging the blank inwardly of the cylindrical member so that the purified side surface of the blank may be faced toward the purified internal surface of the cylindrical member, a third step for subjecting the blank to a cold press-working inside the cylindrical member to thereby closely combine the blank with the cylindrical member, a fourth step for further subjecting the cold-worked blank to a hot press-working inside the cylindrical member to thereby form the blank into a desired shape within the cylindrical member, and a fifth step for annealing the combined members at a temperature for diffusion to thereby join the blank with the cylindrical member by diffusion. After that, a machining step such as cutting, milling or so on, is followed to provide a finished product of a desired shape. Also, such a machining step can be carried out between the fourth step and the fifth step.

Method of manufacturing an article having a press-worked member inwardly

A method of manufacturing low energy-loss waveguide circuit elements in which a film of metal with a low resistivity is joined to a base metal by thermal pressing or electric plating, and a hard male die of a desired shape is pressed into the base metal from above the metal film, whereby a plastic strain is caused in the base metal thereby to form a recessed portion in the base metal having an internal surface covered with the low resistivity metal.
