A light-emitting device according to the present invention comprises: a mounting board; a plurality of light-emitting elements that each include a supporting substrate and a semiconductor structure layer, the supporting substrate being disposed on the mounting board, and the semiconductor structure layer being formed on the supporting substrate and including a light-emitting layer, a wavelength conversion member that covers the plurality of light-emitting elements above the light-emitting elements and converts a wavelength of a light emitted from the light-emitting layer; a translucent member that covers a lower surface of the wavelength conversion member and covers the semiconductor structure layer on the supporting substrate; and a resin member filled between the plurality of light-emitting elements, the resin member being formed of a resin material containing particles having a light reflectivity. The translucent member includes a thin film portion having a constant film thickness between the wavelength conversion member and the resin member in a region between the plurality of light-emitting elements, and the constant film thickness is smaller than a distance between a top surface of the supporting substrate and a lower surface of the wavelength conversion member.

Light-emitting device

A reliable reflective typed semiconductor light source apparatus can emit various color lights having high brightness. The apparatus can include a first and second reflector layer, a phosphor plate disposed on the first reflector layer and a semiconductor light source. The phosphor plate can include at least one of at least one of a red phosphor, a green phosphor, a blue phosphor and a yellow phosphor. The light source can be located adjacent the phosphor plate so that an excited light emitted from the light source can be efficiently reflected on the first reflector layer via the phosphor plate and so that heats generated from the first reflector layer and the like can efficiently transmit toward the second reflector layer. Thus, the disclosed subject matter can provide a semiconductor light source apparatus that can emit various color lights having high brightness, and which can be used for general lighting, etc.

Semiconductor light source apparatus

A wavelength converting module and a semiconductor light-emitting apparatus using the wavelength converting module can emit various color lights. The light-emitting apparatus can include a semiconductor light source emitting an exciting light and an optical reflector, which reflects the exciting light toward the wavelength converting module. The wavelength converting module can include a base board and a cavity formed by a divider located on the base board. The exciting light can enter into the cavity including a phosphor layer contained in the wavelength converting module and can emit a mixture light using the phosphor layer in only one cavity. Thus, the semiconductor light-emitting apparatus using the wavelength converting module can emit various color lights having a high light-intensity and a substantially uniform color tone in order to be able to be used for vehicle lamp such as a headlight, general lighting, a stage light, a street light, a projector, etc.

Wavelength converting module and semiconductor light-emitting apparatus using the same

A semiconductor light source apparatus can emit various color lights having high brightness. The light source apparatus can include a phosphor layer directly disposed on a reflective layer and metallic bumps located between the reflective layer and a radiating substrate. The phosphor layer can be composed of at least one of a glass phosphor and a phosphor ceramic and can include at least one of a yellow phosphor, a red phosphor, a green phosphor and a blue phosphor. The light source can be located adjacent the phosphor layer so that light having high brightness emitted from the light source can be reflected on the reflective layer and heat of the phosphor layer can radiate from the radiating substrate via the metallic bumps. Thus, the disclosed subject matter can provide semiconductor light source apparatuses that can emit various color lights having high brightness, and which can be used for headlight, etc.

A semiconductor light-emitting device and a method for manufacturing the same can include a wavelength converting layer in order to emit various colored lights including white light. The device can include a board, a frame located on the board, at least one light-emitting chip mounted on the board, the wavelength converting layer located between an optical plate and an outside surface of the chips so that a density of a peripheral region is lower than that of a middle region, and a reflective material layer disposed at least between the frame and a side surface of the wavelength-converting layer. The device can have the reflective material layer form each reflector and can use a wavelength converting layer having different densities, and therefore can emit a wavelength-converted light having a high light-emitting efficiency and a uniform color tone from various small light-emitting surfaces.

Semiconductor light emitting device having a reflective material, wavelength converting layer and optical plate with rough and plane surface regions, and method of manufacturing

A semiconductor light-emitting device and a method for manufacturing the same can include a wavelength converting layer located over at least one semiconductor light-emitting chip in order to emit various colored lights including white light. The semiconductor light-emitting device can include a base board, a frame located on the base board, the chip mounted on the base board, a transparent material layer located between the wavelength converting layer and a side surface of the chip so as to extend toward the wavelength converting layer, and a reflective material layer disposed at least between the frame and both side surfaces of the wavelength converting layer and the transparent material layer. The semiconductor light-emitting device can be configured to improve light-emitting efficiency of the chip by using the reflective material layer as a reflector, and therefore can emit a wavelength-converted light having a high light-emitting efficiency from a small light-emitting surface.

Semiconductor light emitting device having a reflective material with a side slant surface and method of manufacturing

A light emitting device is provided, including a resin which can be manufactured according to a simple process and deliver a desired scattering property. The light emitting device is manufactured according to a step for mixing two or more types of immiscible liquid materials to obtain a composition containing at least two types of materials phase-separated in a sea-island structure, and a step for arranging the composition in proximity to an LED chip, curing the composition with the sea-island structure being maintained, thereby forming an encapsulation resin. Accordingly, it is possible to form an island region which serves as a scattering center, according to a simple step of mixing materials.

Light emitting device including resin and manufacturing method for the same

In an optical semiconductor device module constructed by an optical semiconductor device having a light emitting portion on its top surface, a mounting substrate adapted to mount the optical semiconductor device thereon, at least one wiring pattern layer formed on a front surface of the mounting substrate, and at least one power supplying portion in contact with the wiring pattern layer, at least one of the power supplying portion and the wiring pattern layer is uneven.
