The module connector can accommodate a miniaturized module such as a camera module and reliably fix the module in an electrically connected state, and make the connector itself in lower profile. With this connector (), a housing () has a concave container () that accommodates an inserted camera module () in which a plurality of pads are disposed its bottom face. A contact () has: an arm () that projects from the bottom face of the container () to the interior of the container () and that elastically deforms; and, at the tip of the arm (), a contact point part () that is swingable in the insertion direction of the camera module () by means of elastic deformation of the arm () and that contacts a pad. A shield cover () is attached to the housing () detachably covering the accommodating part () and abuts on an upper face () of the camera module () urged in a direction opposite to the insertion direction by the arms () of the contacts (), to sandwich the camera module () in combination with the contacts ().

Secure module connector

A connector shell to be mounted on a board includes a shell body and a mounting piece. In the shell body, a plug inserting space is defined. The mounting piece is integral with the shell body, and is extended from the shell body through the board to be fixed to the board by soldering. A sectional area reducing part is provided in the mounting piece between the shell body and a distal end part of the mounting piece. The sectional area reducing part has a sectional area smaller than a sectional area at the distal end part, and is disposed so as to face the plug inserting space.

An interface connector makes parts to be fitted by insertion hold the state where a receptacle and a plug are fitted, and removes the plug easily from the receptacle when load is applied to the plug from a direction other than the insertion direction. In the interface connector (), the plug () has an inserting projection part () in which a plurality of plug terminals () are disposed in upper and lower faces (and). The inserting projection part () is provided with a plurality of plug terminals () that project freely moving in and out of the upper and lower faces (and) of the insertion projection part () by elastic deformation, and, when the inserting projection part () is inserted in the insertion slot () of the receptacle (), a plurality of plug terminals () press against a plurality of receptacle terminals () provided in the receptacle () such that the insertion projection part () is held removably in receptacle () and is removed from the receptacle () when load is applied from a direction other than the insertion direction.

Interface connector and plug

A memory card connector is able to insert and remove a memory card () without leaving marks of insertion and removal on the memory card (), prevent the memory card from popping out when the memory card is inserted and removed and enable miniaturization at ease with a simple configuration. In this connector (), by the side of a container () in which the memory card () is inserted, a slider () that has a lock claw part () engaging with a notch part () formed on the side of the memory card () is arranged movable in the longitudinal direction and swingable in a location at a card insertion slot end which is a location the memory card () is inserted halfway. The slider () is urged in the direction of removal by a coil spring (), and this urge is suppressed by a slider pressuring piece () which presses the slider () from above and claw pressing piece () that presses the slider () located in a location at the card insertion slot end toward the memory card ().

Memory card connector

An electrical connector wherein no clearance is produced between the bent terminal portion and the insertion portion, which in turn prevents the bent terminal portion from moving along the length of the electric connector. As a result, a distance .alpha. between adjacent bent terminal portions can be kept constant, thereby allowing a wiring pattern of a wiring board on which the electric connector is placed to coincide with the bent terminal portions, increasing the soldering area, and hence improving the strength of soldering against the separation of soldered parts.
