Various techniques are provided to efficiently detect the position and angular velocity of an object relative to a compact radar system including a transmitter antenna array and a receiver antenna array. In one example, a method includes repeatedly scanning a transmitter antenna array and a receiver antenna array of an object sensing system through a plurality of designated transmitter and receiver channels over a period of time to generate a time series of measured channel responses corresponding to each one of the designated channels, determining a time series of directional vectors to or from an object scanned by at least one of the designated channels, and/or a corresponding time series of average phase differences, based, at least in part, on the time series of measured channel responses, and determining an angular velocity of the object from the time series of directional vectors and/or the corresponding time series of average phase differences.

Disclosed wireless tunneling system includes two wireless tunneling apparatuses that communicate with each other through the wireless link. A disclosed wireless tunneling system tunnels communications between two processing apparatuses through a wireless link, while maintaining compliance of the communications between the two processing apparatuses with at least two different wired communication protocols. Embodiments of the invention are generally directed to integration of signal sampling within a transistor amplifier stage. An embodiment of an apparatus includes a amplifier stage including a transistor to receive a source signal and produce an output signal, wherein the transistor includes multiple fingers for at least a first electrode of the transistor. The amplifier stage uses connections to some of the fingers of the first electrode for production of the output signal, and uses one or more other fingers for the first electrode of the transistor for a separate function from the production of the output signal.

A device has an RF mixer, an IF mixer module, a single synthesizer, a frequency divider, a single side band mixer and a frequency quadrupler. The single synthesizer generates a signal to the IF mixer module, the frequency divider, and the single side band mixer. The single side band mixer mixes signals from the single synthesizer and the frequency divider. The frequency quadrupler receives the output of the single side band mixer. The RF mixer is coupled to the frequency quadrupler and the IF mixer module.
