Disclosed is a method for transferring cut-out nonwoven material members, the method including feeding a continuous web of a nonwoven material towards cutter and anvil roll, passing the continuous web between the cutter and anvil roll, the cutter roll having knives protruding from the circumferential surface, the knives having an edge with a first outline shape seen in a circumferential direction of the cutter roll, cutting the continuous web thereby forming cut-out nonwoven material members having a second outline shape corresponding to the first outline shape of the respective edge of the knives, and transferring the cut-out members to a vacuum roll having an outer circumferential surface that includes a plurality of vacuum ports arranged in a pattern, the pattern including pattern units each having a third outline shape, the pattern units fitting within the second outline shape of the cut-out members.

The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article comprising a pair of curved compression lines in a rear portion of the article. The article has a core with a first region which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core in the rear portion comprises the first (L, R) and second (L, R) pairs of rear compression lines, which extend in a longitudinal direction (y) between respective front and rear endpoints. A transverse distance (Gmin) separates the rear endpoints of the pair of compression lines whilst a second, larger distance (Gmax) separates the front endpoints of the compression lines.

The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article comprising first and second pairs of compression lines in a rear portion of the article. The article has a core with a first region which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core in the rear portion comprises the first (L, R) and second (L, R) pairs of rear compression lines, which extend in a longitudinal direction (y) between respective front and rear endpoints. A packaging unit for hygiene articles and a method for producing the same. The packaging unit is formed from a sheet of material having an inner surface and an outer surface. The inner surface has an edge zone. The sheet has at least one folding axis and the folding axis divides the sheet into a first region and a second region. The sheet may be folded along the folding axes with the first and second regions in an overlapping configuration, and at least a part of the edge zone is provided with microencapsulated adhesive.

The present disclosure provides a packaging unit for hygiene articles and a method for forming such a unit. The packaging unit has a first packaging function as a packaging wrap for a non-used article, and a second disposal function as a disposal wrap for a used article. The packaging unit further comprises a user prompting device having a wrap-facing surface and a user-facing surface, wherein the user prompting device is permanently attached to the wrap such that at least a portion of the wrap-facing surface of the user prompting device is in contact with the inner surface of the wrap. The user prompting device is arranged to prompt the user to employ the second disposal function of the packaging unit.

A tab is arranged at an edge portion of the first region. The tab extends in a longitudinal direction from said edge portion so that an extension of the tab along or parallel to the center line from a tab base to an outer edge of the tab is 0.5 cm or more. A method of forming the packaging unit is also provided.

A packaging unit for hygiene articles that is formed from a sheet of material having an inner surface comprises an edge zone comprising an inner edge portion and an outer edge portion. At least one of the outer and inner edge portions comprises at least one region provided with a resealable adhesive. The sheet has at least one folding axis dividing said sheet into a first and second regions region. The sheet is folded about said at least one folding axis with said first and second regions in an overlapping configuration, thereby providing a packaging unit. Overlapping outer edge portions of the sheet layers are at least partly adhesive-free and are at least partially connected to each other by a mechanical interaction providing a sealing strength of 0.2 to 1.5 N. A method for forming the packaging unit is provided.

A method for forming a wrapping material for hygiene articles involves: providing one of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the first region with a first resealable adhesive, such that the other of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the first region is adhesive-free; providing one of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second region with a first resealable adhesive, such that the other of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second region is adhesive-free; and providing at least one of the first central portion of the first region and the second central portion of the second region with a second adhesive; wherein the steps a-c are performed simultaneously.

Method for forming a wrapping sheet having improved sealing

A packaging unit for hygiene articles is formed from a sheet having a folding axis dividing the sheet into first and second regions. One of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the first region is provided with resealable adhesive, thus forming a first adhesive zone. The other of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion is adhesive-free. The inner edge portion or the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second region corresponding to the adhesive-carrying edge portion of the first region is adhesive-free, such that when the sheet is folded about the folding axis, the edge portions carrying resealable adhesive in the first region are brought in contact with the adhesive-free edge portions in the second region. A distance between the at least one first folding axis and the first adhesive zone is 1-20 mm.

Further, one of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second region is provided with adhesive, and the other is adhesive-free in a complementary manner to the edge zone of the first region.
