A packaging assembly for efficiently packaging wheels includes multiple sheets of supporting and fixing members. A first set of wheels, each wheel having a and engaging a hub hole of one of the sheets, is located between two of the sheets. A first sheet supports a first set of wheels, and a second sheet is supported by the first set of wheels. A second set of wheels is located between the second sheet and a third sheet, each wheel of the second set including a hub engaged with a hub hole of the third sheet or of one of the first two sheets. The hub engagement of each wheel is laterally offset from the perimeter of all of the wheels of adjacent sets of wheels. The packaging includes means for preventing lateral movement of the wheels in each set.

A composite insulator includes an insulating rod, end fittings crimped to opposite end portions of said insulating rod, and an elastic insulating material molded around the outer periphery of the insulating rod, wherein each of the end fittings has a flange around the outer periphery of an end fitting body on an axially external side thereof, and the elastic insulating material is molded around the outer periphery of the insulating rod and those of the end fitting bodies such that the elastic material extends up to and between the flanges. A process for the production of such a composite insulator is also disclosed.

There are disclosed a method for assembling LP insulators in which no box housing is used, assembling operation is facilitated and various product lengths can be handled, and an LP insulator assembly which is lightweight because of a small amount of packing materials for use, which produces only a small amount of waste materials after unpacking and whose insulators are easily lifted. An LP insulator assembly,includes an LP insulator,mainly constituted of a shaft body,, an engaging member,and a support fitting,; a pallet,in which flat plates are arranged on spacer members,to form a deck surface and on which the LP insulator,is vertically placed; a fixing member,for fixing the support fitting,to the pallet; and a tying member,for tying the engaging members,to one another. The deck surface of the pallet and the support fitting,are fixed by the fixing member,, a plurality of LP insulators,are vertically placed, and the engaging members,of the LP insulators,are tied to one another.
