A system for processing a masking region includes a transmitter configured to detect an object region, on which masking is to be performed, from an input image through a camera, convert the detected object region into a block region to perform masking, and encode and transmit an input image on which the masking is completed and a receiver configured to decode an image transmitted from the transmitted to extract a frame therefrom, detect a masked block region by units of extracted frames, and unmask the detected block region to restore the masked image to an original image.

A face image de-identification apparatus and method are disclosed. The face image de-identification apparatus may include an emoji generator configured to generate a first emoji image including facial feature information corresponding to a face image using the face image stored in a database, and an image inserter configured to insert the first emoji image into the database by replacing the first emoji image with the face image.

A human tracking method using a color histogram is disclosed. The human tracking method using the color histogram according to the present invention can more adaptively perform human tracking using different target color histograms according to the human poses, instead of applying only one target color histogram to the tracking process of one person, such that the accuracy of human tracking can be increased. The human tracking method includes performing color space conversion of input video data; calculating a state equation of a particle based on the color-space conversion data; calculating the state equation, and calculating human pose-adaptive observation likelihood; resampling the particle using the observation likelihood, and estimating a state value of the human; and updating a target color histogram.
