The present invention relates to a device for isolating farm cages for fish against undesirable organisms, which device is arranged enclosing the farm cage, where the device comprises a fine-meshed fluid-permeable net which is open upwardly and downwardly when arranged round the farm cage, where the fluid-permeable net will extend a distance down in the farm cage's depth direction, in order thereby to form a skirt round the farm cage.

A harvesting device for zooplankton () or other micro organisms in a body of water (). The new and inventive in the harvesting method is amongst others a bubble diffuser () arranged for being submerged in the body of water () and arranged for releasing gas bubbles () preferably air, in the body of water so as for said bubbles () may attach to zooplankton () and bring them closer to the surface () of said body of water () for collection by means of a skimmer or trawl (). Said trawl is further arranged as a skimmer with a transportation tube from the aft of said skimmer to a vessel which both tows the trawl and processes the harvested zooplankton at the same time.

Device and method for catching zooplankton or other microorganisms

A trawling vessel is provided with a trawl net () for catching marine bio-resources, with a trawl sack () attached aft on a trawl net () for keeping the catch. The vessel comprises lines () for towing and hauling the trawl net (), and trawl drums () for hauling the trawl net (). A lock chamber () is provided in a stern () of the vessel and has a main portion of its volume arranged below the design water line of the vessel. The lock chamber () is arranged for hauling the trawl sack () with the catch from the sea through a sluiceway () in the stern (), for discharging the trawl sack (), and for temporarily keeping the catch. A trunk channel () leading up from the lock chamber () enables the trawl sack (), in a generally discharged state, to be hauled up through the trunk channel () to a deck (), thereby leaving the catch in the lock chamber ().
