A packaging system including a heat shrinkable flexible wall container and a heat shrinkable label is described. The label can be applied to the container prior to heat shrinking. Upon subjecting the labeled container containing the items or goods of interest to a heat shrink operation, the label and flexible wall container both undergo shrinking. The shrinkage characteristics of the flexible wall container and the label are matched to one another. Also described are various methods of packaging using the noted systems.

Heat shrink packaging system and method

Disposable or single-use sensor labels sense a parameter and record the sensed parameter having: a semi-permeable medium or substrate with a parameter-sensitive and activatable developer. The developer, when activated, exhibits a detectable manifestation of a changed state that progresses over time. The detectable manifestation of this changed state is read and recorded to log parameter change data. Further, a method of using the sensor label monitors viability of a material associated with the label, such as for freshness and security assessment that is recorded for archival or reporting or quality control purposes. A changed state is exhibited that progresses over time, associating the label with a material to be monitored and positioning same into a given environment, and the recording can track the changed state against time.

Sensor labels that log events against time

A method and apparatus () for making a plurality of containers () from a laminated roll () comprising a first layer of thermoformable material (), a second layer of material (), and an adhesive layer () therebetween. Method of making a container

Adhesive articles, particularly useful as reusable closures, comprising a moisture resistant substrate and a removable adhesive covering at least a portion substrate surface, the adhesive having a Moist Loop Test result of at least about 25 N/25 mm at a test plate temperature of 5&#xb0; C. The closure may also include a permanent adhesive covering another portion of the substrate surface. The adhesive articles provide easy application to packages and exhibit good adhesion performance in the presence of moisture, such as from refrigerated or frozen food packaging.

Reusable closures for packages and methods of making and using the same
