In an electronic timepiece having a central processing unit for processing current time and other data, and equipped with a crown and switch means coupled thereto for providing a correction signal comprising a pulse train of relatively high frequency, a bidirectional counter is provided for counting the correction signal pulses, with successive count totals in said counter being transferred in parallel form to be processed by the central processing unit. Processing of the high frequency correction pulses can thereby be performed even with the low maximum frequency which is generally available in an electronic timepiece for use as the clock signal to operate the central processing unit.

A digital input means for miniature type electronic devices comprising an external actuator, mechano-electrical converter and circuit means. The mechano-electrical converter is excited to deliver an output signal which is then supplied to the circuit means and the circuit is operative in response to the operation of the external actuator to deliver an output signal.

An alarm timepiece is disclosed in which a plurality of alarm times may be set and the set alarm times may be displayed. The timepiece includes a plurality of alarm time memory means, alarm time display means connected to the alarm time memory means and control means for controlling the input signal for the alarm time memory means. The alarm time display means are circumferentially arranged in same manner as the time index of the watch dial, whereby set alarm time may be indicated in the display means.

Alarm timepiece

A frequency adjusting circuit for digitally adjusting the frequency of a time reference signal consisting of a series of pulses is disclosed. The circuit function to adjust the frequency of said series of pulses by subtracting or adding a given number of pulses from or to said series of pulses for a time set beforehand every time upon receipt of a predetermined number of pulses of said time reference signal.

Frequency adjusting circuit

An electronic timepiece in which a high frequency signal from a frequency standard is divided down to a low frequency signal by a frequency converter. A decade decimal counter is connected between the frequency converter and a time counter to generate first, second and third phase signals in response to the low frequency signal from the frequency converter. The time counter is responsive to the first phase signal to gradually increment the count value therein, and is arranged such that it generates a reference time information signal prior to current time. First and second memory circuits are arranged to receive an output from a decoder in which the reference time information signal is converted into code format. The first and second memory circuits are responsive to the second and third phase signals from the decade decimal counter and to the coded signals from the decoder to generate bleaching signals and coloration signals, respectively, prior to current time.
