A first wireless node may determine that a first reserved retransmission frame overlaps with a second reserved transmission frame and a second reserved retransmission frame and that the second reserved transmission frame overlaps with a first reserved transmission frame and the first reserved retransmission frame. The first reserved transmission frame and the first reserved retransmission frame may be reserved for wireless communication with a first master node, and the second reserved transmission frame and the second reserved retransmission frame are reserved for wireless communication with a second master node. The wireless node may also process and acknowledge data received from the first master node during the first reserved transmission frame based on the determining, ignore data sent by the second master node during the second reserved transmission frame based on the determining, and process and acknowledge data received from the second master node during the second reserved retransmission frame.

According to an example embodiment, a wireless node may determine that a first reserved retransmission frame overlaps with a second reserved transmission frame and a second reserved retransmission frame and that the second reserved transmission frame overlaps with a first reserved transmission frame and the first reserved retransmission frame. The first reserved transmission frame and the first reserved retransmission frame may be reserved for wireless communication with a first master node, and the second reserved transmission frame and the second reserved retransmission frame are reserved for wireless communication with a second master node. The wireless node may also process and acknowledge data received from the first master node during the first reserved transmission frame based on the determining, ignore data sent by the second master node during the second reserved transmission frame based on the determining, and process and acknowledge data received from the second master node during the second reserved retransmission frame based on the determining.

A method for processing audio may include performing using one or more processors and/or circuits in a Bluetooth enabled communication device, receiving audio samples that are encoded by a Bluetooth subband CODEC. The encoded audio samples may include inverse discrete cosine transformed windowed audio data. Shifted subband samples corresponding to the received encoded audio samples may be discrete cosine transformed during decoding by a receive Bluetooth subband codec. The inverse discrete cosine transformed windowed audio data may be generated by an encoding matrix operation. Windowing of the audio data may occur prior to the encoding matrix operation. A plurality of filter coefficients may be utilized for the windowing of the audio data. The shifted subband samples may be discrete cosine transformed during a decoding matrix operation.

Method and system for an efficient implementation of the Bluetooth&#xae; subband codec (SBC)

Certain aspects of a method and system for implementing a codec may comprise at least one of inverse discrete cosine transforming windowed data corresponding to a plurality of input audio samples during encoding by a Bluetooth subband codec and discrete cosine transforming shifted subband samples during decoding by the Bluetooth subband codec. The input audio samples may be reconstructed from the discrete cosine transforming of the shifted subband samples. The inverse discrete cosine transforming may be executed during a matrix operation of the encoding. The discrete cosine transforming may be executed during a matrix operation of the decoding. The input audio samples may be windowed during the encoding via a plurality of delay lines. A vector may be generated during a matrix operation of the decoding. The audio data associated with the generated vector may be windowed by a plurality of filter coefficients via a plurality of delay lines.

A method for selecting a vocoder type for origination of a mobile telephone call including sending a first access request that includes a first value representing one of a set of vocoder types including a first vocoder type and a second vocoder type. If the first access request is rejected, then a second access request is sent.
