A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a deployment and management of composite application service is provided. The service may allow a third party to develop and on-board logic that manages an application service hosted in an application layer network of a network provider. The logic may include optimization of the application service and remedial procedures that address events associated with degradation and/or performance of the application service. The service may configure resources of a host device to host the logic and expose services provided by the network provider in support of the management of the application service.

Method and system for deployment and management of composite applications

A system described herein may monitor a set of local Key Performance Indicators ('KPIs') associated with an edge computing device. The local KPIs may not be provided to a central orchestrator that is communicatively coupled to multiple edge computing devices. The system may monitor application KPIs associated applications implemented by the edge computing device, which may be provided to the central orchestrator. The orchestration models may include conditions associated with the set of local KPIs, and orchestration actions to perform with respect to the particular edge computing based on the conditions. The system may perform orchestration actions on the particular edge computing device based on the monitored local KPIs and application KPIs. The central orchestrator may identify that the application KPIs are below a threshold and perform a second set of orchestration actions with respect to the edge computing device, or one or more other edge computing devices.

Systems and methods for hierarchical orchestration of edge computing devices

A device may include a processor configured to determine a plurality of requirements for a Multi-Access Edge Computing (MEC) application requested by a customer; select a solution blueprint for the MEC application, from a set of solution blueprints, based on the determined plurality of requirements, wherein the solution blueprint includes an application deployment blueprint and a connectivity blueprint; and receive approval of the selected solution blueprint from the customer. The processor may be further configured to configure at least one transport network device based on the connectivity blueprint, in response to receiving the approval of the selected solution blueprint from the customer; and deploy at least one component of the MEC application on a MEC device in a MEC network based on the application deployment blueprint, in response to receiving the approval of the selected solution blueprint from the customer.

Systems and methods for configuring and deploying multi-access edge computing applications

A device may receive network data identifying at least one of a signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR), a bit error rate (BER), a packet loss, or a frame loss associated with a radio access network (RAN), and may receive model data associated with a plurality of machine learning models. The device may receive inference confidence scores associated with the plurality of machine learning models, and may process the network data, the model data, and the inference confidence scores, with a model, to select a machine learning model from the plurality of machine learning models. Systems and methods described herein provide a co-managed configuration service. A network device stores parameters for the co-managed configuration service. The parameters identify exposed services for an enterprise network that uses devices from a network service provider. The network device receives, via a customer portal, a vendor-agnostic change request for the enterprise network. The change request includes a user role and a change request name for one of the exposed services. The network device authenticates the change request based on the user role and the change request name and retrieves vendor director information for an SDN device implementing the configuration change. The network device invokes, in response to the change request, the configuration change for the enterprise network based on the vendor director information.

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which an application layer network management service is provided. The service may allow third parties associated with an application layer network to develop and on-board application-aware logic that manages application services. The application-aware logic may include optimization of the application service and remedial procedures that address events associated with degradation and/or performance of the application service. The application-aware logic may be implemented in conjunction with other logic provisioned by a network provider.

A system described herein may provide a technique for the seamless transfer of services provided by a first Multi-Access/Mobile Edge Computing device ('MEC') to a User Equipment ('UE'), to a second MEC. Context information associated with a given application for which services are provided by the first MEC may be cached by the UE based on a determination that the second MEC should provide the services, and the UE may provide the cached information to the second MEC in order to seamlessly continue receiving services. The providing of the cached information to the UE and/or to the second MEC may be performed with an elevated priority level, in order to facilitate the seamless providing of the services relating to the application, thus resulting in minimal to no interruption of the user experience associated with the application.

Systems and methods for device-assisted seamless transfer between edge computing systems in a wireless network

A device monitors, for a software-defined networking wide area network (SD-WAN) deployment, a set of virtualized network services of the SD-WAN deployment, and applies a set of diagnostic tests to evaluate the set of virtualized network services. The device detects, based on monitoring the set of virtualized network services and in connection with applying the set of diagnostic tests, an event associated with a virtualized network service. The device analyzes, using an analytics model of SD-WAN operation, the event to identify an issue associated with the virtualized network service, and determines, based on the analytics model of SD-WAN operation, a recommendation relating to remediating the issue. The device generates an abstraction layer user interface to represent the set of virtualized network services and to convey the recommendation relating to remediating the issue, and implements, after providing the abstraction layer user interface, the recommendation to remediate the issue.

Virtualized network service management and diagnostics

Systems and methods described herein provide a network tool that discovers device configurations for selected enterprise sites and automatically organizes the data to assist users, so they can build intents for network function policies in enterprise networks. An intent builder performs device discovery of network function (NF) instances in a customer network; retrieves configuration elements from the NF instances; normalizes the configuration elements; and generates a graphical user interface with rule paths based on the configuration elements. The network device receives, via the graphical user interface, user input to map source Internet protocol (IP) addresses in the rule paths to a user label and to map destination IP address in the rule paths to an application label. Based on the user input, the network device presents, via the graphical user interface, consolidated intents and generates vendor-agnostic policy rules from the consolidated intents.

Systems and methods described herein provide an application priority optimization service. Application information associated with an application to be deployed at a Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) network is received and parameters associated with execution of the application are determined based on the application information. The application is deployed at the MEC network and information associated with performance of the application is obtained. Resources allocated for execution of the application may be adjusted based on the performance of the application to create a modified application and the modified application may be executed at the MEC network.

A customer premises device may include a memory configured to store day 0 configuration instructions, a first network interface to couple to an out-of-band network, a second network interface operatively coupled to a customer network, and at least one processor configured to automatically and without user input execute the day 0 configuration instructions. The at least one processor is configured to establish and maintain a secure tunnel connection with a security gateway device via the out-of-band network and to establish a connection with a configuration platform on the provider network via the secure tunnel connection. Orchestration instructions for configuring one or more VNFs are received from the configuration platform via the tunnel connection. The at least one processor is further configured to receive VNF management instructions via the secure tunnel connection, wherein the VNF management instructions include one of: updates, reconfigurations, or patches.

Method and system for secure zero touch device provisioning

Systems and methods described herein provide an assisted network change service. A network device stores a record of network resources for a customer network and generates, based on the record, a visual representation of the network topology for a selected site of the customer network. The network device receives, from the customer, input for a change to configuration parameters of one of the network resources and verifies if the change to the configuration parameters is compatible with other settings in the customer network. When the change to the configuration parameters is compatible with other settings in the customer network, the network device generates a change request based on the configuration parameters and invokes provisioning to implement the change request for the customer network.
