Systems and methods for determining Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) states for multiple transmission occasions are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device includes: receiving a configuration including: a list of TCI states; a TCI activation command in activating a subset of the TCI states and mapping between each of the codepoints to activated TCI states; and a time threshold; receiving in a slot a scheduling message scheduling the transmission occasions; determining time offsets between receiving the scheduling message and each transmission occasion; determining a TCI state for each transmission occasion if at least one time offset is less than the time threshold; and receiving the transmission occasions with the determined TCI states. The proposed solutions ensure consistent UE behavior and allow for more robust PDSCH transmission over multiple TRPs.

Systems and methods for determining TCI states for multiple transmission occasions

Systems and methods for implicitly activating one or more Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) states are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless communication device for implicit TCI state activation includes sending a measurement report for one or more reference signals to a base station. The one or more reference signals are related to one or more TCI states, respectively. The method further includes activating at least one TCI state from among the one or more TCI states that are related to the one or more reference signals. In this way, the TCI state selection may be expedited and simplified because additional Medium Access Control (MAC) Control Element (CE) activation message may be avoided.

Implicit update of activated TCI states

A method for differentiating multiple Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) transmission schemes for transmission of data for an over-the-top (OTT) service. In a non-limiting example, the PDSCH transmission schemes include a spatial multiplexing transmission scheme, a frequency multiplexing transmission scheme, a slot-based time multiplexing transmission scheme, and a mini-slot-based time multiplexing transmission scheme. In examples discussed herein, a User Equipment (UE) can be configured to differentiate the PDSCH transmission schemes based on information indicated in Downlink Control Information (DCI) for scheduling a PDSCH transmission, information signaled to the UE via a higher layer configuration, and/or capability signaling indicated from the UE to a network. By differentiating the PDSCH transmission schemes, the UE can efficiently receive a data transmission(s) from multiple Transmission/Reception Points (TRPs) to obtain user data from the OTT service.

Method for differentiating multiple physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission schemes

Methods for scheduling mixed type traffics via multiple Transmission/Reception Points (TRPs) are provided. In embodiments disclosed herein, a base station provides, and a wireless device receives, a scheduling information for scheduling the mixed type traffics with different Quality of Service (QoS) requirements via multiple TRPs. In a non-limiting example, the mixed type traffics include an enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) service and an Ultra-Reliable and Low Latency Communication (URLLC) traffic service, and the scheduling information can be conveyed in a single Downlink Control Information (DCI) or a pair of DCIs. As such, it is possible to enable efficient scheduling of both eMBB traffic and URLLC traffics simultaneously. As a result, it is possible to satisfy a reliability requirement of the URLLC service without sacrificing spectral efficiency and/or throughput of the eMBB service.

Multi TRP based scheduling of mixed type traffics

Systems and methods for Phase Tracking Reference Signal (PTRS) to Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) association when two or more Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) states are indicated for a Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) transmission in a cellular communications system are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method performed by a WCD comprises receiving a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) comprising Downlink Control Information (DCI) that indicates two Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) states for a PDSCH transmission to the WCD and DMRS ports within a single Code Division Multiplexing (CDM) group. The method further comprises determining a PTRS port to DMRS port association for the PDSCH transmission, wherein a single PTRS port is used for the PDSCH transmission and determining the PTRS port to DMRS port association comprises determining that the single PTRS port is associated with a lowest indexed DMRS port in the DMRS ports indicated in the DCI.

A method for a UE in a multiple transmission points communication system, mTRP, scheme, is provided. The method includes receiving downlink control information, DCI, indicating at least two transmission points scheme for a scheduled data transmission on physical resource blocks, PRBs. The PRBs includes at least a first subsets of PRBs, associated with a first transmission point, and a second subset of PRBs, associated with a second transmission point. The method further includes determining a first PT-RS frequency density for the first set of PRBs based on the number of PRBs in the first set of PRBs and a second PT-RS frequency density based on the number of PRBs in the second set of PRBs. Determining phase tracking reference signals in multiple transmission points

A method, system and apparatus are disclosed. According to one aspect of the disclosure, a network node configured to communicate with a wireless device is provided. The network node includes processing circuitry configured to: cause a first physical downlink control channel, PDCCH, transmission starting at a first symbol and cause a second PDCCH transmission starting at a second symbol where the first PDCCH transmission is configured to schedule a first physical uplink shared channel, PUSCH, transmission ending at a third symbol for a transport block and the second PDCCH transmission configured to schedule a second PUSCH transmission starting at a fourth symbol for the transport block, where the second symbol occurs before the third symbol, the third symbol occurs later in time than the first symbol and the fourth symbol occurs later in time than that second symbol.

Multi-transmission and reception point (TRP) redundancy and soft combining with reduced latency

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for activation of two or more Transmission Configuration Indication (TCL) states for a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) in one or more Control Resource Sets (CORESETs) in a cellular communications system. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device for activation of multiple TCI states for a PDCCH in one or more CORESETs in a cellular communications system comprises receiving, from a network node, signaling that activates NTCI TCI states for one or more CORESETs, wherein NTCI>1. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device comprises receiving a configuration of first and second Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) resource sets to be used for non-codebook based PUSCH transmission. The method further comprises receiving a configuration of first and second Non-Zero Power (NZP) Channel State Information Reference Signals (CSI-RSs) associated with the first and SRS resource sets, respectively. The method further comprises receiving a request for transmitting data in PUSCH in a plurality of occasions, wherein the request comprises first and second SRS resource indicators (SRIs) associated with the first and second SRS resource sets, respectively. The method further comprises transmitting first and second PUSCHs in a first and second sets of occasions according to the first and second SRIs, respectively.

Non-codebook based multi-TRP PUSCH reliability with multiple associated NZP CSI-RSs

Systems and methods for reliable Medium Access Control (MAC) Control Element (CE) ACK/NACK confirmation are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device includes: being configured with at least one feedback enabled Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) process while the remaining HARQ processes of the wireless device have feedback disabled; receiving an activation/deactivation command requiring feedback, where the receiving uses the at least one feedback enabled HARQ process; and/or transmitting feedback regarding the activation/deactivation command. In this way, the wireless device is enabled to send HARQ ACK/NACK feedback related to critical activation/deactivation MAC CE commands in a Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN). Furthermore, in the presence of large one way delay, this ensures that there is no mismatch between the base station and the wireless device as to when the wireless device can assume the activation/deactivation information in the MAC CE command can takes effect at the wireless device.

Systems and methods for reliable MAC CE ACK/NACK confirmation

There is provided a method performed by a user equipment (UE). The method comprises: receiving a reference signal over multiple time instances; determining time domain properties of a channel, based on the received reference signal; and sending a report to a network node, the report comprising information about the determined time domain properties of the channel. Methods and nodes for CSI reporting using TRS

Embodiments include methods for a wireless device. Such methods can include receiving, from a network node in a wireless network, control signaling that indicates a parameter configuration for data transmissions, by the network node or by the wireless device, that are associated with a subset of a plurality of hybrid ARQ, HARQ, processes. The indicated parameter configuration can be one of a plurality of parameter configurations corresponding to a respective plurality of different subsets of the HARQ processes. The different subsets can include a first subset of one or more HARQ processes for which HARQ feedback is disabled, and a second subset of one or more HARQ processes for which HARQ feedback is enabled. Other embodiments include complementary methods for a network node in a wireless network, and wireless devices and network nodes configured to perform the respective methods.

Embodiments include methods, by a user equipment (UE), for receiving physical data channel transmissions from a wireless network. Such methods include receiving, from the wireless network, configuration information including: a first indication of one or more frequency-domain resource allocations for respective corresponding one or more physical data channel transmissions by respective corresponding one or more sources configured by the wireless network, and one or more second indications of further characteristics of the physical data channel transmissions. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device includes: receiving an activation command to activate a first and a second spatial relation; optionally determining the first and the second spatial relation based on one or more Downlink TCI states; transmitting the UCI according to the first spatial relation in a first set of symbols or slots; and transmitting the UCI according to the second spatial relation in a second set of symbols or slots. In this way, fewer changes to the specifications are required. The existing RRC configuration for spatial relations and MAC CE activation might be used.
