A shaving head includes at least one cutting unit in which an external cutting member is subjected to a shaving action. The external cutting member is suspended relative to a holder of the shaving head through suspension means. The suspension means includes at least two pivot constructions, wherein one pivot construction enables a member of the suspension means to be pivotable relative to the holder. The other pivot construction enables the external cutting member to be pivotable relative to the suspension member. Furthermore, a pivoting stiffness of a connection of the latter pivot construction is lower than a pivoting stiffness of the first pivot construction. In this manner, good contour following performance is obtained at two levels, in both relatively small and relatively large curvature changing areas.

A shaving kit includes cartridge store for storing at least one spare blade cartridge and a container for storing a shaving fluid like a refreshing or cleaning lotion or a shaving foam. The container includes a volume of the shaving fluid which is sufficient for several series of shaving actions. After at least one shaving action, a blade razor may be coupled to the container to transfer shaving fluid to the blade razor. By transferring shaving fluid to the blade razor, the volume of shaving fluid in the container decreases. The container includes a replacement indicator for indicating a desired replacement of the blade cartridge. The replacement indicator operates in dependence on a volume of shaving fluid transferred from the container.

A personal care system includes an electrical shaver and a cleaning device for cleaning a shaving head. The cleaning device further includes a displacing system for displacing its supporting member relative to a cleaning fluid container from a first position in which the shaving head, when the shaver is supported by the supporting member, is not in contact with the cleaning liquid in the container, to a second position in which the shaving head is at least partially immersed in the cleaning liquid in the container. The cleaning device does not need any pump for displacing the cleaning liquid. Rather, activation of the shaving head that causes, e.g., rotation of a cutting unit, provides a sufficient pumping effect for the cleaning liquid when the shaving head is immersed in the cleaning liquid.

A shaving apparatus has plurality of shaving heads, each with a rotatable cutting member () associated with and rotatable relative to a shear plate (). For driving the cutting members (), a plurality of drive units () is provided, each of said units extending at least from drive rim () engaged for driving the drive unit to a coupling end () coupled to one of the cutting members () for transmitting a rotation of the drive unit () to the cutting member (). The drive rims () of the drive units () are suspended for rotation about axes of rotation () that are oriented at angles relative to each other and diverge from each other in a direction from the drive rim () to the coupling ().

Shaving apparatus

A shaving apparatus comprising a housing having a shaving part for short hairs and a trimmer for long hairs which is rotatable with respect to the housing, the housing comprising an operating member which is coupled to the trimmer via a connection element, one end of the connection element being journalled in the trimmer so as to be rotatable. An 'over-center' mechanism is present between trimmer and connection element, with a resilient element at one component, which resilient element engages a cam of the other component.
