An information handling system operating a low power communications engine comprising a wireless adapter for communicating on a low power communication technology network for receiving low power communication technology data traffic for at least one always-on remote management service for the information handling system, a controller receiving a location status of the information handling system via the low power communication technology network indicating a location or network, where the controller executes code instructions for a low power communications engine to assess a location trust level from an environment characteristics analysis engine to determine whether the location status is a trusted zone location or an untrusted zone location utilizing binary classification machine learning based on input variables including data relating to history of activity at the location or on the network learned by the environment characteristics analysis engine from reported operational or network activity, and the controller to trigger an embedded controller to wake a BIOS of the information handling system and forward the incoming low power communication technology data traffic to in-band applications on the information handling system if the information handling system location status is determined to be in one trusted zone location and the controller to ignore the received low power communication technology data traffic if the information handling system location status is in one untrusted zone location.

System and method for machine learning applied to in-band to out-of-band communications management

An information handling system operating a sensor fusion prediction based automatic adjustment system may comprise sensors measuring influencing attributes comprising information handling system operational values, wherein a subset of the influencing attributes influence one of a plurality of system characteristics, and a memory storing definitions of a user behavior characteristic, a performance mapping characteristic, a power status characteristic, a security profile characteristic, and a policy configuration characteristic. A processor may execute code instructions to apply stochastic prediction to the subset of influencing attribute values to predict a future value of a system characteristic influenced by the subset of influencing attribute values at a future instance in time, determine an adjustment to a policy controlling operational bounds of the system characteristic if the predicted future value of the system characteristic falls outside current policy-defined operating bounds, and automatically perform the policy adjustment before the future instance in time.

A processor may execute code instructions to generate a congestion score for each of the links based on measured traffic and quality of service of each of the links, determine the congestion score for a congested link does not meet a preset congestion threshold value, determine a location within the mesh wireless network in which to aggregate links between two mesh access points, based on availability of one or more radios, and transmit an instruction to one of the plurality of mesh access points to aggregate two or more links at the network layer at the determined location for simultaneous transmission on a single band.

The controller to initiate incoming traffic limitations for incoming low power communication technology data traffic to deny immediate forwarding of the low power communication technology data traffic if the detected first priority level falls at or below the first threshold priority level, and the controller to wake a BIOS of the information handling system and forward the incoming low power communication technology data traffic to applications on the information handling system if the first priority level is above the first threshold priority level.

System and method for advanced low power wide area network communications power management

A MIMO-enabled information handling system may have multiple antennas configured to transmit multiple spatial streams. In some modes, all antennas may be used such as during SU-MIMO communications. In other modes, less than all antennas may be used such as during MU-MIMO communications. When unused MIMO antennas are available during MU-MIMO mode, the elements may be reused for transmitting data for other wireless technologies or spectrums. For example, while transmitting MU-MIMO Wi-Fi data through one spatial stream, Bluetooth data may be simultaneously transmitted through one of the unused Wi-Fi MIMO antennas.

Simultaneous antenna utilization in MU-MIMO mode

A computing device with a Dynamic Antenna Configuration Manager (DACM) for sharing of spare antennas with dedicated (wireless mode-specific) primary antennas in the computing device, which supports multiple wireless modes of operation and includes at least one shared spare antenna operable as a broadband Radio Frequency (RF) antenna over all of the device-supported wireless modes. The DACM dynamically allocates spare antennas based on active wireless connections, device usage modes, device orientation/configuration, and other user visible metrics so as to optimize user experience. Such dynamic-sharing allows device support for multiple wireless protocols (or modes of operation), but with less than the total of individual protocol-specific maximum antennas. As a result, a dynamic (variable) number of Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) streams per wireless mode of operation may be supported within the space constraints imposed by device real estate, thereby providing the end user with a better wireless experience than with other design choices.
