A backlight module includes a light guide plate having a light input surface, a light source adjacent to the light input surface of the light guide plate, and a frame unit receiving the light guide plate and the light source. The frame unit includes a back plate and a light reflective layer. The back plate defines a plurality of openings, and the light reflective layer covers the back plate and fills the openings. A method for manufacturing the backlight module is also provided.

Backlight module and method for manufacturing same

An exemplary backlight module () includes a frame () and a bottom plate (). One of the frame and the bottom plate includes a plurality of elastically deformable buckling structures (), and the other of the frame and the bottom plate includes a plurality of protrusions () corresponding to the buckling structures. When the bottom plate is attached to the frame, the bottom plate and the frame are pressed together along a first axis, and the buckling structures elastically deform and then elastically rebound such that the buckling structures are engaged with the protrusions and the bottom plate is fixed to the frame.
