A power conversion apparatus with dual-mode control includes a bridge arm assembly, a capacitor assembly, and control unit. The bridge arm assembly includes a first bridge arm and a second bridge arm. The control unit selectively controls the first bridge arm to be operated in a voltage source switching mode or a current source switching mode according to the load type of a first load, and controls the second bridge arm to be operated in the voltage source switching mode or the current source switching mode according to the load type of a second load.

Power conversion apparatus with dual-mode control

A smart grid system includes a current sensor, and plural power conversion devices coupled to an AC grid. The current sensor measures a total current flowed through the AC grid, thereby providing a measured current value. The power conversion devices include a master power conversion device and plural slave power conversion devices. The master power conversion device receives the measured current value, thereby controlling an output power of the master power conversion device and providing a first duty cycle signal according to the measured current value. A first one of the slave power conversion devices which is coupled to the master power conversion device receive the first duty cycle signal, thereby controlling an output power of the first one of the slave power conversion devices according to the first duty cycle signal. The master power conversion device and the slave power conversion devices are communicated via a daisy chain connection.

Smart grid system and power management method thereof

A maximum power point tracking method includes: configuring a voltage tuning direction of a power converter by a process circuit such that the input voltage of the power converter changes in a positive or a negative trend; detecting the corresponding input voltage and input current of the power converter sequentially to obtain multiple powers; and when the powers decrease for N times continuously, change the voltage tuning direction of the power converter such that the change of the input voltage switches from positive trend to negative trend, or from negative trend to positive trend, in which N is an integer greater than or equal to 2.
