A mobile device and methods that support performing a warm swap of a battery of a mobile device are provided herein. A processor of the mobile device may initiate a warm swap procedure in response to receiving a request from a user operating the mobile device. The processor generate a first notification signal to indicate to the user to wait before removing the battery from the mobile device. In response to execution of the warm swap procedure, the processor generates a second notification signal to indicate to the user that the battery of the mobile device is safe to be warm swapped with a charged battery.

Advanced battery system

A modular cradle for a mobile device includes a base structure having a first acceptance structure designed for receiving the mobile device, where the mobile device is removable from the first acceptance structure for use. The cradle also includes a wireless charging device configured to wirelessly transmit power to the mobile device when in the first acceptance structure. The wireless charging device includes a controller and a transmitter enclosed within a single housing, where the wireless charging device is attachable to and removable from a second acceptance structure of the modular cradle.

A portable data terminal including a main housing, a landscape-oriented large display screen disposed on a top front portion of the main housing and extending nearly an entire width of the main housing, a keyboard disposed on top of the main housing and rearward to the display screen, and left and right battery housings serving as ergonomic handle grips disposed on an underside of the main housing to accommodate two-handed grasping of the device, the keyboard being constructed and arranged to receive input from a pair of thumbs while corresponding hands are grasping and supporting the main housing. In an embodiment, the main housing includes a central housing portion extending downwardly on the underside of the main housing and having an extended front face for containing a scan engine/data reading mechanism and first and second cameras positioned on opposite lateral sides of the scan engine.

Mobile terminal housing

A trigger assembly and scanner terminal are described. The trigger assembly includes two parts. A rigid first part stores a pressure sensitive switch and a printed circuit board. An elastic second part contacts the pressure sensitive switch in response to a level of pressure applied to the trigger assembly. The first part and second part are formed from a continuous piece.
