The present invention involves a process for the isolation of nucleic acids on surfaces by means of at least the following steps: charging of a surface from a given direction with nucleic acids; immobilization of the nucleic acids on the surface; release of the immobilized nucleic acids from the surface; and removal of the released nucleic acids essentially in the direction of charging. Preferably the loading takes place from the top.

Method for isolating and purifying nucleic acids on surfaces

The present invention pertains to a process for the chromatographic separation of nucleic acid mixtures into their double-stranded and single-stranded nucleic acid fractions by simultaneously absorbing said nucleic acids as a whole to a mineral support, followed by separation into double-stranded and single-stranded nucleic acids by fractional elution, or by selectively absorbing double-stranded or single-stranded nucleic acid of a liquid sample to a mineral support, as well as solutions and a kit for performing the process according to the invention.

Process for the separation of double-stranded/single-stranded nucleic acid structures

The use of multi-well blocks with more than 10 wells is suggested for breaking down biological samples in a ball mill, wherein the process which is to be carried out provides that the biological sample, disposed in a multi-well block with more than 10 wells, is broken down in a ball mill and that following this, proteins and/or nucleic acids are isolated. With the ball mill necessary for this task, with milling containers fixed thereto in a holder (,), the milling containers are designed as uniform well blocks (,) and can be fixed in a form-locking manner into the adapted, twist-preventing holder (,).
