A lighting control apparatus for producing control signals or cues for controlling operating parameter of one or more controlled lighting devices, including a learning machine configured for performing: a supervised learning phase, wherein, as a function of a first set of audio and/or video files coupled with a first set of control signals, the machine produces mapping rules between the audio and/or video files and the control signals of these first sets; an unsupervised learning phase wherein the machine receives a second set of audio and/or video files and produces, from the second set of audio and/or video files, a second set of control signals as a function of the mapping rules. The learning machine may be configured to carry out a reinforced learning phase with the production of an evaluation ranking of the mapping rules and the possible elimination of mapping rules.

Lighting control apparatus, corresponding method and computer program product

According to the present disclosure, lighting sources having operating parameter(s) which is controllable in lighting sequence(s) as a function of a time code data set coupled with the sequence, are controlled in cooperation with virtual/augmented reality device(s), by: providing a repository of operating data files for the sources, coupled with the lighting sources, with each data file including time code data set(s) for lighting sequence(s) for a source among the lighting sources, retrieving in the data repository operating data file(s) coupled with a selected one of the lighting sources, and detecting a virtual/augmented reality signal from the virtual/augmented reality device(s), indicative of the fact that the virtual/augmented reality device is gazing at and/or is recognizing the selected lighting source, and operating the selected lighting source by controlling the operating parameter(s) as a function of the operating data included in the operating data file retrieved and of the virtual/augmented reality signal.

Method of controlling lighting sources, corresponding system and computer program product

In various embodiments, lighting sources including at least one operating parameter, which is controllable in at least one lighting sequence as a function of a time code data set coupled with the sequence, are controlled by providing a repository of operating data files for the sources coupled with the lighting sources with each data file including at least one time code data set for at least one lighting sequence for a respective one of the lighting sources, by retrieving in the data repository at least one operating data file coupled with a selected one of the lighting sources, and by operating the selected lighting source by controlling the at least one operating parameter as a function of the operating data included in the operating data file retrieved.

According to the present disclosure, lighting sources, having operating parameter(s) which is controllable in lighting sequence(s) as a function of a time code data set coupled with the sequence, are controlled: by providing a repository of operating data files for the lighting sources coupled with lighting sources, with each data file including time code data set(s) for lighting sequence(s) for one of the lighting sources, by detecting ambient lighting level signal(s) at the ambient where the lighting sources are located, by retrieving in the data repository operating data file(s) coupled with a selected one of the lighting sources, and by operating the selected lighting source by controlling the operating parameter(s) as a function of the operating data included in the operating data file retrieved and as a function of the ambient lighting level signal.

According to the present disclosure, lighting sources having operating parameter(s), which is controllable in lighting sequence(s) as a function of a time code data set coupled with the sequence, are controlled as a function of a videogame played on display(s): by providing a repository of operating data files for the sources coupled with the lighting sources with each data file including time code data set(s) for lighting sequence(s) for one of the lighting sources, by retrieving in the data repository operating data file(s) coupled with a source selected among the lighting sources, and by detecting from the display a videogame signal indicative of the development of a videogame, and by operating the selected lighting source by controlling the operating parameter(s) as a function of the operating data included in the operating data file retrieved and as a function of the videogame signal detected.

In various embodiments, a street lighting device with a first light source for illuminating the street plane from above is provided. The device may include a second light source located at a closer position to the street plane than said first light source; a sensor sensitive to the occurrence of conditions of reduced ambient visibility; and a controller connected to said sensor and capable of activating said second light source in the presence of said conditions of reduced ambient visibility.

Street lighting device

A lighting device comprises a housing carrying a linear array of light radiation sources and one or more elongated diffusive screens arranged facing the array of light sources so as to be passed through by the light radiation. The screen or screens have a pattern of geometric features for producing a radiation pattern of the light radiation emitted by the lighting device as a result of passing through the diffusive screen or screens. By replacing the diffusive screen or screens with screens which have a different pattern of geometric features it is possible to vary the radiation pattern of the light radiation emitted by the lighting device.

Lighting device and associated method

A reflector for light radiation sources, the reflector taking the form, for example, of a cup centered around a main axis with a bottom opening for a source of light radiation, the reflector including a cup-shaped base portion extending from the bottom opening to an outer rim, and an annular portion surrounding the outer rim. The annular portion may be telescopically coupled to the base portion and may be moveable with respect to the base portion along the main axis in order to vary the length over which the annular portion extends along the main axis with respect to the outer rim of the base portion.

Reflector for light sources and light source device

An optical system including at least one light source, such as a LED source (), and an optics () subjected to aging as a result of exposure to the light source () is designed by: defining an aging model for the optics (), defining a thermal model for the light source () as a spatial function representative of the temperature generated by the light source (), and defining the distance of the optics () from the light source () as a function of the aging model and the thermal model. Method of designing optical systems and corresponding optical system

A mounting arrangement for a light source (L) having associated a Printed Circuit Board, wherein said mounting arrangement includes: a housing (H) with an exit opening for light from the source (L), a reflector (R) to reflect light from the source (L) towards the opening, an at least partly transparent cover () to close the opening of the housing (H). The cover () includes a set of retaining elements (A) for retaining the cover () to the housing (H), and a set of holding elements (B) for holding the associated Printed Circuit Board (D) within the housing (H). Such configuration is capable of exerting a pressure on the reflector (R) when the cover () is coupled to the housing (H), and wherein the reflector (R) in turn urges the light source (L) against the housing (H), providing thus thermal coupling between the light source (L) and the housing (H).

Mounting arrangement for lighting devices, corresponding lighting devices and method

Connecting a first () and a second () printed circuit board or PCB carrying a LED lighting source () and the associated drive circuitry involves providing board connection pads () at said first () and second () PCBs, and arranging a flex PCB () in a bridge-like fashion between the first () and second () PCBs. The flex PCB () has connection pads () for bonding with the board connection pads () of the PCBs (). The connection pads () in the flex PCB () arranged in a bridge-like fashion between the first () and second () PCBs are bonded with the connection pads () of the first () and second () PCBs, so that the first () and second () PCBs are connected.
