The invention concerns a compound of Formula (I) or a salt thereof, wherein Ris H, (C-C)alkyl or CF; Ris H, (C-C)alkyl or CF; A is CHCOOH, XCHCOOCHCH, XCHCOOH, XCHCHNH, where X is nitrogen or oxygen atom; Ar is an aromatic fragment selected from the group consisting of (Ar1), (Ar2) and (Ar3); where Ris H, —CH, —CHCHor CHCO—, Ris H or —CH, R5 is H or —CH, and Ris H or —CH. The compounds of Formula (I) can be used in the treatment of diseases modulated by thyroid hormone receptor-beta (TRb or TRβ).

The present invention concern a 2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-carboxamide compound of Formula (I) and new 2-oxo-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-carboxamide compounds of Formula (II) in the treatment of pathologies which require an inhibitor of PDK1 enzyme such as diabetes, neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Prion Diseases, and tumors such as breast, and pancreatic cancers and glioblastoma, particularly glioblastoma.

The invention relates to compounds of general formula (I) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof: (I) wherein Ri is selected from an SCN&#x2014; group or is an RCONH&#x2014; group; in particular, where Ri=RCONH, R is selected from an aromatic benzene ring substituted with an SCN&#x2014; group in the ortho, meta or para position, according to the following formula: SCN&#x2014; or R is a C1-C4 alkyl chain, substituted with an SCN&#x2014; group; n can be equal to 0 or else 1. The invention also relates to the use of such compounds for the treatment of osteoporosis and in general of bone pathologies characterized by a progressive loss of bone mass, for example rheumatoid arthritis, hyperparathyroidism or bone tumor metastases.
