The request indicates a content type of RCS poll on a telecommunication network. The request includes poll text and a poll type. The request for an RCS poll causes a display of the RCS poll via a messaging interface native to an operating system of the wireless device. The wireless device generates the request in an extensible markup language format. The poll text includes a question and at least two responses. The poll type includes a single-choice response or a multi-choice response poll. The wireless device receives, using the MSRP, from the network node, a poll response. The poll response causes a display of the poll response via the messaging interface native to the operating system of the wireless device.

System for generating RCS polls natively on a device operating system

A system of a telecommunications network comprising an automatic user equipment (UE) degradation optimization (AUDiO) Optimizer is disclosed. The AUDiO Optimizer collects network performance metrics or network events associated with a UE and retrieves a user profile that includes information indicating the network activity of the subscriber. The AUDiO Optimizer also obtains information about network events or performance metrics associated with the network. Then it determines a threshold performance degradation of the UE based on this information and, in response to the determination, performs an AUDiO action including automatically causing restart of the UE, applying a service credit to an account of the subscriber, or communicating a service degradation-related communication to the subscriber.

Automatic user equipment degradation optimization

Devices, methods, and systems for reducing greenhouse gas emissions of a wireless network are disclosed. In one embodiment, the device can monitor network resource utilization of a RAN cell and predict its future network resource utilization based on at least one factor. The device can determine the future network resource utilization of a non-terrestrial network (NTN). When the network resource utilization of the RAN cell is less than a first threshold and network resource utilization of the NTN is less than a second threshold in the future time period, the device can initiate an energy conservation procedure. The energy conservation procedure can comprise sending an instruction to a first wireless device connected to the RAN cell to transfer a first call or a first data session from the RAN cell to the NTN and sending an instruction to the RAN cell to enter a low power mode of operation.

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions of terrestrial wireless telecommunications networks

Method and system for reducing greenhouse gas emissions of a terrestrial wireless telecommunications network are disclosed. The system monitors a current energy consumption metric of the terrestrial network, predicts an energy consumption metric of the terrestrial network in a future time period based on at least one triggering event, and determines an available capacity metric of a non-terrestrial network in the future time period. When the energy consumption metric of the terrestrial network is greater than a first threshold and the available capacity metric of the non-terrestrial network is greater than a second threshold, the system causes the terrestrial network to enter an energy conservation mode of operation by transferring a first call or a first data session from a RAN cell of the terrestrial network to the non-terrestrial network and further causes the RAN cell to enter a low power mode of operation.

Reducing network energy consumption using predictive analytics

A subscriber identity module (SIM). The SIM comprises a processor, a non-transitory memory storing a configuration file, a wireless identity, a wireless access key, and a remote update agent stored in the non-transitory memory. When executed by the processor, the remote update agent determines that the SIM is communicatively coupled to a wireless communication network via a radio transceiver of a communication device with which the SIM is associated, in response to determining that the SIM is communicatively coupled to the wireless communication network, sends a provide local information (PLI) command to the mobile communication device to acquire network measurement results (NMR) based on the configuration file, transmits NMR data via the radio transceiver using a bearer independent protocol (BIP), receives SIM update information via the radio transceiver, and stores the SIM update information in the configuration file in the non-transitory memory.

Subscriber identity module (SIM) remote update agent

A method of computer authentication of a user request for a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card transfer by a biometric signature from a user equipment (UE) comprising assigning a risk score, by a mobile service provider, to a user account based on user activity in the user account, wherein the user activity includes a SIM card transfer authorization. The mobile service provider then sends a message requesting a biometric signature from an authentication application executing in memory on the UE. The authentication application on the UE then proceeds capturing a biometric signature, encrypting the biometric signature, and sending an encrypted biometric signature to the mobile service provider using a wireless communication protocol. The mobile service provider then compares the biometric signature to an authorized signature and modifies the risk score based on the comparison.

Subscriber identification module (SIM) authentication protections

A method and system for enabling MMS message delivery to a recipient device. An MMSC receives and stores MMS message content to be delivered to the recipient device, and the MMSC responsively sends to the recipient device an MMS-notification message carrying an address of the MMS message content stored at the MMSC and then receives a reply indicating that the recipient device received the MMS-notification message. The MMSC then detects that, after the MMSC received the reply, (i) at least a predefined threshold amount of time has passed and (ii) the MMSC has not yet received from the recipient device a request to download the MMS message content. And responsive to at least the detecting, the MMSC then sends to the recipient device a data-service-trigger message that triggers turning on data service of the recipient device, thus enabling MMS-message delivery to the recipient device.

Upon execution by the processor, the provisioning application receives a request to create a voicemail account associated with a first phone number, creates a voicemail account comprising a first voicemail box, assigns a voicemail account identifier associated with an identity of the subscriber, and transmits the voicemail account and first voicemail box to a voicemail system, wherein the voicemail account identifier is used to reference the voicemail account. The application further receives a request to create a voicemail account associated with a second phone number of the mobile communication device, determines that a voicemail account associated with the mobile communication device already exists, creates a second voicemail box, and transmits the second voicemail box to the voicemail account identified by the voicemail account identifier.
