A brush assembly is provided for increasing an effective area and uniformity of performance in an abrasive floor polishing application at a given size of brush mount. The brush assembly includes a pad with slots for receiving abrasive blades. The pad includes variable protrusions to provide varied support to the abrasive blades. The blades have a trapezoidal body shape. The blades include abrading components including an abrasive material such as diamonds. In some embodiments, the abrading components include a metallic material, such as copper material. In some embodiments, the abrading components include a phenolic material.

Floor polishing apparatus

A sanding device, for, e.g., cosmetic and finishing applications, is provided. The sanding device includes a wire mesh having a plurality of apexes, the apexes having an abrasive affixed thereto. The wire mesh forms a substantially planar surface with a bent perimeter section. The sanding device further includes a rim made from a plastic material, the plastic material capping the bent perimeter section of the wire mesh and further extending from the bent perimeter section. The wire mesh and the rim defining a shallow bowl shape. The sanding devices also includes a carrier shell or grip received and captured with the bowl shape.

A sanding wheel that may be used, e.g., to finish a wood deck, includes one or more risers. Each riser includes an angled face and a cross member, and the angled face and cross member define a slot therebetween. The retaining or fastening clip includes a retaining spring, and the fastening clip is received on the angled face of the riser with the retaining spring extending into the slot. The blade has an abrasive on a first end and an aperture at a second end, the aperture being defined by a shoulder about the aperture. The second end of the blade extends into the slot with the retaining spring of the fastening clip engaging the shoulder. The slot and the retaining spring are configured to mechanically lock the blade to the riser and the base.

An exemplary coating applicator is provided for evenly applying a material having an aggregate to a substrate. The exemplary applicator provides for a generally even distribution of the material and the aggregate the coating material to the surface such as a wall or a floor where it is desirable to have a finished, textured surface and a material having an evenly distributed aggregate.

Disclosed is an exemplary abrasive pad having a plurality of first elongated members and a plurality of second elongated members arranged crosswise relative to the first elongated members to form a mat having a first side and an opposite second side. The second elongated members alternately pass over and under the first members in a serpentine manner, and include a longitudinal concave region and a longitudinal convex region. The abrasive pad includes an abrasive material affixed to the convex region of at least one of the plurality of second elongated members, wherein the concave region of the second elongated members are devoid of abrasive material.

A low pressure, low speed concrete polishing apparatus and method of cleaning and polishing a floor a polishing pad and interchangeable polymer strips. The interchangeable polymer strips are slideably received within the housing of the pad. The polymer strips have an abrasive material embedded therein which collectively work to polish the floor while cleaning the floor during normal speed floor cleaning conditions.

An improved low pressure low speed concrete polishing apparatus and method of cleaning and polishing a floor is used with a conventional rotary flooring machine. A polishing pad has interchangeable polymer strips that are slideably received within the housing of the pad.
