A rolling die for forming a screw thread on a screw blank is disclosed. The rolling die has a plurality of grooves, where the grooves each have two flanks as seen in cross-section. At least a portion of each of the grooves has a forming area in which the size of a profile angle enclosed by the flanks decreases continuously along the grooves.

Rolling die

The inventive method of forming anchors comprises following steps. A rod-shaped workpiece is roll-formed by penetrating the rod-shaped workpiece with two wedge-shaped tools at two points. The two points are arranged on opposite sides and axially separated of a plane perpendicular to an axis of the rod-shaped workpiece. The two wedge-shaped tools are axially approaching to the plane while the rod-shaped workpiece is revolved around the axis. The roll-formed workpiece is separated along the plane for forming two bolts. A sleeve is applied around the anchor bolts.

Method of forming anchors

A method for manufacturing a thread-forming screw having a shank and a thread formed in one piece with the shank and region-wise circumferentially arranged on the shank, is disclosed. After the formation of the thread on the shank, a plurality of recesses is subsequently stamped into the thread. Then, a plurality of compact cutting elements is welded into the recesses in the thread, where the cutting elements are made of a hard material and have a hardness greater than the hardness of the thread. Additionally, a stamping device for carrying out the method is also disclosed.

Method for manufacturing a thread-forming screw

A screw () has a shaft (), a thread () which is arranged in at least some areas over the circumference of the shaft () and which defines a helix (), and cutting bodies () made of a material having hardness greater than the hardness of the thread () and arranged in recesses () of the thread (), with the cutting bodies () having their longitudinal extension oriented along the helix () so that their longitudinal axes () enclose an angle (A; B; C; D, E) of &#x2212;35&#xb0; to +35&#xb0; with the respective tangents of the helix ().
