There is a remote control device or drone, which has software and a combination of lights or LED on an lighting ring or apparatus that can move independently of the drone; the drone can be programmed or be reactive to sound or other stimulus to create the effect of writing shapes or words in the air and typically at nighttime against a dark sky.

A hydrofoil board having a hydrofoil configured to be automatically controlled to stabilize the board in a level position even when incurring waves. The hydrofoil includes a pair of individually controllable flaps that control the pitch and direction of the hydrofoil board when propelled in motion. A processor uses an inertial measurement unit (IMU) to obtain orientation and acceleration information of the hydrofoil board. A global positioning system (GPS) unit is also used as an additional speed and location sensor. The processor combines IMU data with a user/rider's input, such as selected speed and direction via handheld wireless controller, and individually controls the flap motors to position the flaps, and the propulsion motor to set speed. In one example, the controller is configured to bring the hydrofoil board to a complete and stabile stop.

Eyewear providing an interactive augmented reality experience to users in a first physical environment viewing objects in a second physical environment (e.g., X-ray effect). The second environment may be a room positioned behind a barrier, such as a wall. The user views the second environment via a sensor system moveable on the wall using a track system. As the user in the first environment moves the eyewear to face the outside surface of the wall along a line-of-sight (LOS) at a location (x, y, z), the sensor system on the track system repositions to the same location (x, y, z) on the inside surface of wall. The image captured by the sensor system in the second environment is wirelessly transmitted to the eyewear for displayed on the eyewear displays, providing the user with an X-ray effect of looking through the wall to see the objects within the other environment.

Context-sensitive remote controls for use with electronic devices (e.g., eyewear device). The electronic device is configured to perform activities (e.g., email, painting, navigation, gaming). The context-sensitive remote control includes a display having a display area, a display driver coupled to the display, and a transceiver. The remote control additionally includes memory that stores controller layout configurations for display in the display area of the display by the display driver. A processor in the context-sensitive remote control is configured to establish, via the transceiver, communication with an electronic device, detect an activity currently being performed by the electronic device, select one of the controller layout configurations responsive to the detected activity, and present, via the display driver, the selected controller layout configuration in the display area of the display.

A UAV having a GPS spoofing detector allowing the UAV to determine during flight if the GPS is being spoofed by a third party. The UAV includes a 3-axis magnetometer that is utilized by a controller to determine if the GPS data is correct, or if it is incorrect and perhaps being spoofed. The controller compares GPS heading data with heading data provided by the 3-axis magnetometer. The controller generates an alert if heading are not correlated. This allows the controller to respond to the spoofing detection, such as by directing the UAV to return home.

A UAV having a fixed camera (e.g., without a gimbal or having a manually adjustable gimbal), and a control system configured to establish a still camera position at an image capture point for an extended time at a predetermined pitch angle. This implementation allows a camera fixed to the UAV to capture a photo(s) at a pitch angle for a predetermined image capture time, given that there is enough space to obstacles/ground to avoid a crash. The control system plans the optimum flight path for achieving minimal movement for a given position and camera angle.

A UAV having a manual gimbal including a camera, and a flight mode selector configured to select both a flight mode and manually establish a camera position as a function of the selected fight mode. A controller responds to a position of the gimbal or selector to establish the flight mode. The flight mode selector is mechanically coupled to the gimbal and establishes a pitch angle of the gimbal, and thus the camera angle attached to the gimbal.
