A magnetically inductive flow measuring probe comprises a housing that is adapted to be exposed to the medium; two measuring electrodes arranged in a housing end section for forming a galvanic contact with the medium and for sensing a voltage induced in the flowing medium; and a means for producing a magnetic field passing through the housing end section. The means includes a coil arrangement and a field guide body. The field guide body comprises two field guide body legs connected with a coil core, extending to a front section of the housing and adapted to serve as field guideback. Orthogonal projections of the measuring electrodes and the field guide body onto a cross sectional plane are disjoint.

A magnetic-inductive flow meter includes: a measuring tube for conducting a flowable medium, the measuring tube having a wall; at least three measuring electrodes arranged in the wall to form a galvanic contact with the flowing medium; a magnetic field-generating device for generating a magnetic field that passes through the medium; a measuring circuit designed to ascertain at least one first measurement variable, wherein measured values of the first measurement variable are ascertained at a first measuring electrode pair; and an analysis circuit designed to ascertain a Reynolds number and/or a kinematic viscosity value of the medium in the measuring tube using measured values for the first measurement variable and a second measurement variable, which differs from the first measurement variable, the measured values of the second measurement variable being ascertained at a second measuring electrode pair.

Magnetic-inductive flow meter and method for operating a magnetic-inductive flow meter

A magnetic-inductive flow meter includes: a housing; a first and a second measurement electrode in galvanic contact with a flowing medium in a pipe; a magnetic field-generating device positioned in the housing and including a measurement circuit configured to determine a first measurement variable, and wherein measurement values of the first measurement variable are measured between two measurement electrodes or at a measurement electrode in relation to a reference potential; and an evaluation circuit configured to determine a Reynolds number and/or a kinematic viscosity value of the medium using measurement values of the first measurement variable and of a second measurement variable, which differs from the first measurement variable, wherein the measurement electrodes are positioned such that, during a test measurement, quotients of current measurement values of the first and of the second measurement variable correspond bijectively with the Reynolds number of the medium in the pipe.

A magnetic-inductive flow meter for measuring flow velocity or volume flow rate of a medium includes: a measuring tube having a first cross-section and a middle segment, which has a second cross-section, between inlet side and outlet side end planes, wherein the first cross-sectional area is greater than the second cross-sectional area; a pole shoe or a saddle coil, which subtends the measuring tube with a maximum central angle; and an electrode system having two electrode pairs, wherein a central angle in the second cross-section defines a minimum circular sector in which the electrodes located on a side of the measuring tube are distributed, wherein the electrode pairs are arranged in the middle segment such that the central angle and the maximum central angle are adapted relative to one another such that the flow meter is insensitive to departures from a rotationally symmetric flow.

A magnetic-inductive flowmeter includes: a measuring tube; a magnetic field generator including a pole shoe for producing in the medium a magnetic field extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, wherein the pole shoe subtends a field central angle; and at least two measuring electrode components in galvanic contact with the medium, wherein the measuring electrode components have a circular arc length, which subtends an electrode central angle, wherein the field and electrode central angles are so adapted relative to one another that the flowmeter is insensitive to departures from a rotationally symmetric flow to a degree such that the magnetic-inductive flowmeter has in a test measurement a measurement error of flow velocity and/or a measurement error of volume flow of less than 0.2%.

The present disclosure relates to a method for operating a magnetoinductive flowmeter in which, during a constant phase having a constant magnetic field, a plurality of raw measured values of the raw measurement voltage are determined, the raw measurement voltage including a flow-dependent component, an interference component and a noise component, wherein each raw measured value assigned a flow measured value and an interference voltage value, wherein a raw measured value from a preceding first constant phase and a raw measured value from a second constant phase following the first constant phase are used to calculate a second flow measured value and a second interference voltage value of the interference component, wherein first flow measured values from the first constant phase and/or second constant phase are corrected using the knowledge of the second flow measured value and the calculated second interference voltage value.
